As a boutique BNB the service is really careful, thorough. In particular, they fixed the water slow flow of washbasin and I didn't ever mention it to room service. This is very rare even in the five star hotels. The chinese style room is very simply, clean and comfortable. The location is beside the city center. That is very easy for shopping, eating and drinking.

Our short stay at Noordin Mews was amazing great! The warm and friendly service crew at Noordin Mews really make our stay a really enjoyable one, especially Baby and Chona,

Apart from the exceptional good service, the hotel itself is very beautifully done up and kept really clean. Although it is quite small, but we felt that it is so cozy and relaxing to be anywhere around the hotel. The staff comes by for housekeeping at least 2 times a day to keep your rooms tidy, replacing clean towels and all. We were always served with cold towels and cold drinks whenever we come back to the hotel, and the room aircon was kept on which makes us feel so good to be "home". Some staff even come forward to help us with our heavy shopping bags, all the way to our rooms. Thumbs up!

The dining/cafe area is only a stone throw away from our rooms, makes its so convenient and comfortable to chill over some drinks or snacks anytime!

Everyone in my family love this hotel and the service they rendered!

The only small complain is the free wifi, which get disconnected from time to time and we could not access in some of our rooms as well. Other than that, this hotel was close to perfect!

Charming and clean boutique hotel that retains the authenticity of old Georgetown. Staff service was very helpful and friendly. Room size adequate with small shower space but alright. Breakfast was good. Pool looked refreshing although I did not use it. Staff could book Grab for transportation without guest having Grab app.
Everything was perfect from a boutique hotel’s perspective.
The only downside is the location, 10-minute from old town. Normally a 10-minute walk is nothing but it was challenging with the heat and humidity. There were not many good street food stalls or local restaurants near by. Due to the inconvenience of the location, I was not able to see all the places and experience more local food as planned.

We arrived earlier than the check-in time and were provided with drinks by the pool while our room was prepared. The staff were very accommodating and refused to let me pay for the drinks (the ginger tea was excellent). We only stayed in Penang for one night in our tight itinerary, as I had been here before, 20 years ago. If I had known how nice Noordin Mews was, I think we would have stayed another night and cut out a night somewhere else. The location is a little bit of a walk from the heart of town (but only takes about 15 - 20 minutes), but in my view this is a good thing because it was so peaceful there at any time of the day or night. It is also on a one-way road, which further reduces any noise from through-traffic. There is a large shopping mall about 5 minutes walk away, but we didn't bother with that. As soon as our room was ready we had a quick freshen-up after our journey from the Cameron Highlands, then went out to explore. We arrived back at Noordin Mews quite late, after packing in as much as possible. We decided to take a trishaw - it wasn't particularly far to walk, but we needed a rest! It was wonderful to be able to use the pool at night, then sit around in the chairs around the pool, sending emails or reading, while still in our swimming costumes. Our room was big and the retro furniture and other decor was a nice touch, especially as I love art deco. The bed was really comfortable too. The next day we were flying to Langkawi in the afternoon, so we made sure that we made good use of our time in George Town during the morning. We had breakfast then checked out and the staff said that we could leave our luggage there and also use the pool before we went to the airport. I asked if they had a spare room that we could use to get changed in before our flight - they arranged this at no cost and booked a taxi for us for that afternoon. This was possibly the nicest place we stayed in Malaysia and the staff were among the most helpful that we came across. I would recommend the Noordin Mews to anyone visiting Penang.

We (husband, myself and 19 year old daughter), booked to stay here for 5 nights and wish it was 5 weeks. What a lovely hotel.
From the minute we arrived and were greeted by Baby and bought supper to our room once settled in (tea and crackers).
To the days where we would come back hot and bothered and have a swim and they would give us ice water.
To when we were lazing in the pool having an afternoon swim and they would give us afternoon tea.
To Jason or Precious giving us answers on every bit of information that we asked.
To the girls cleaning (even the wooden staircase) and cooking that made us feel that we should be there. Their beautiful smiles.
To Shona, the beautiful manager whom made us feel so secure.
To the night security guy who helped out with anything we needed.
When you are in a hotel where the staff make you feel like family and that you can trust and rely on them for any information or to help you.......you know you are on to a good thing.
We were in shop house 1 and whilst it was just glorious, being upstairs and large, I would take a normal room downstairs next time to be cooler. if you aren't affected so much by the heat, the 2 shophouses are just gorgeous.
The shop house offers you a fridge and tea and coffee and enormous bathroom which enabled me to wash out our underwear and bathers etc..
We even got a turn down service at night. How spectacular is that.
I looked in other rooms and all shapes and sizes, they are all decorated beautifully and cleaned beautifully.I don't think they had fridges or tea and coffee though the staff will bring you one any time you ask and have an ice water dispenser by the kitchen.
Breakfast was sensational.
Pool was lovely and it was just a nice area to relax in to read or chat.
It was a couple of minutes walk to 1st Avenue and Prangin mall or Gama to shop.
It was a few minutes to Hawker centres for great food and to coffee shops such as starbucks and Gloria Jeans in the 1st avenue mall.
It was a short walk to Komtar bus station.
Everything we needed was at or near Noordin Mews and we look forward to when we are able to stay again in this little oasis..
It was lovely that our fellow guests were all respectful of each other and made the enviroment quiet but friendly.
Thank you to Shona, Baby, Precious, Jason, all the girls and night security for making our stay so wonderful.
