Overpriced old hotel. Good location if you are in town for a certain reason. Stayed in the club room. Value for money if you can drink. Free flow of alcohol in the evening.
Charcoal restaurant for lunch and breakfast has terrible selection of food. Very minimal.
Free outdoor parking.
Room was clean but with bad soundproof.
I dont really like the room. There was no hotel buffet dinner on the day I went. Parking was spacious and ample though. You wont have any problem in parking.
Room is ok and toilets are clean and luxury looking. The hotel is very old looking and I can hear people next door talking and jumping and making noise non stop. I dont feel secure looking at the connecting door in front of my bed. I check out after 3 hours of checking in as I dont feel comfortable.
The price is really really overpriced for a room for an old hotel like this. I dont think I will come again. I chose this hotel as it's near my office and I can get to work easily the next morning. The only good thing about this hotel is parking is super easy and space is huge! And it's free! And location is secluded and quiet. Not like other hotels where the parking is at the basement and surrounding is crowded and congested.
This hotel is suitable for business people waiting to transit or golfers. Not suitable for family with kids as there are nothing around the area. Only housing area, a Japanese school and a few offices nearby.
Older hotel but that’s not the issue - checked in and went to a room that was not made up properly- there was no water bottle - only a half drunk water bottle - refrigerator has leftover packet of a black liquid and brown liquid. Fine went for a snack at the charcoal red and the service was very slow - quality of drinks were good - but we were left waiting 30 mins for cakes we ordered - when we asked if they were ready and if they were not we would like to just get the bill - they assured us they were on the way - we then had to wait for another 30 mins - for 2 plates of sliced cakes - the restaurant was empty, we were the only ones there - just let us know that the order was forgotten and we will gladly pay and go on with our day - if you’re busy -why make us wait 30 mins for 2 lousy plate of cakes ? Also how long does it take to slice cake ? Bad service and low consideration for the customer unfortunately. Will not be going back ever.
Poor service and lack of hospitality.
During check-in, only one male staff member was on duty, and his facial expression was like I owed him money. Not welcoming, not even a smile. Once handover the access card, there was no explanation about the facilities, and the worst part was I needed to ask the direction to my room.
Even the 3-star hotel reception is much more friendly than this 4/5-star hotel.
No greetings from the room cleaners or all the staff. The management needs to start looking at hospitality seriously.
The room was decent, with plenty of ants, so keep your sweet food in the fridge.
We checked into the hotel on 30 Nov through 2 Dec and had a nice experience with the staff.
For a start, front line Kevin was very informative, polite and helpful in processing our room and luggage.
The Japanese restaurant Kogetsu was also very good. Authentic food. Do try the Chef special udon.
At Charcoal restaurant, Mahesan and Linda were very welcoming and professional in their service and care for us. We felt very much at home.
Room was neat and comfortable. Although aircon is pretty cold! Thank you for a nice experience again.
