We stayed in this hotel because the swimming pool (advertised on all booking sites) look truly perfect and was supposed to be open until 22:30. However, when we arrived, we were told that the pool closed at 21:00. After a long debate and argument with the receptionists (who do not speak English in such a hotel !) we managed to get in - at our own risk, but we were not offered any compensation for their wrongful claims online/all around the rooms. Overall the rooms were ok. That being said, the hotel is definitely not worth the price.
This hotel is located near the UNESCO listed West Lake. It is only a short walk away.
Our room was clean, spacious and well furnished with a king-size bed, sofa and writing desk. Room facilities included a small fridge and a night light. Some international television channels Including HBO on the TV. :) Everything was very comfortable. We had a nice view of the lake from our room.
Good bathroom facilities with a shower and a bathtub. They provide bath salts for an end of day soak in the bath. Morton Brown toiletries. Everything worked well.
Good wifi connection in the room but wifi is not a secured network.
Breakfast is a good selection of Western and Chinese dishes. Eggs fried (didn’t see omelets either day we were there. Food was delicious.
Sleep quality is excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet.
Good airconditioning unit in the room.
There is a gym and a pool on the basement level. The gym is well equipped.
Service was okay. Not great but nothing really to complain about. We had coffee at the coffee shop but it was very expensive.
Right in downtown near the Westlake.
Comfortable rooms and good service.
Buffet breakfast has everything you would ever need.
Handy to the high speed train station as well
Reasonable equipped gym and small indoor pool .
We stayed in this hotel during the recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday. This hotel is easy to find. It's a short walk from the nearest subway station, which is the direct line to to the coach station and Hangzhou East Railway station. It is very close to West Lake. Just a two-minute walk and you can join the crowds of people who enjoy this great resource. It's very close to the many shops and shopping centres on Yan'an Road, and an easy walk to Wulin Square for even more shopping centres. Wulin Road, right behind the hotel, is home to lots of small clothes shops where you can get lovely ladies clothes. We'd booked a city view room. We ended up on the 7th floor in a room that had some view of the lake. The room was lovely and had a comfortable sofa in a balcony area. It's not a brand new hotel so of course there are a few flaws here and there. There's a small gym and swimming pool that we used and enjoyed. Breakfast is a buffet and is worth having. We don't really like cooked breakfasts, either Chinese or Western, but we enjoyed what we had. The staff were very efficient and helpful and spoke good English. There is a western guest services manager in the lobby most of the time, which is useful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again. We loved being close to West Lake and to everything else that central Hangzhou had to offer and to public transport.
Stayed here for a week as part of our adoption trip to China. Overall, the hotel itself is very beautiful. It is in a great location next to West Lake, Shopping and eating. There is plenty to do around the hotel and the staff were very friendly despite the language barrier. The breakfast buffet was really a nice treat. On the downside, rooms were small, only two twin beds so we had to have an extra bed brought in which made the room even smaller. Aside from the included breakfast buffet, the hotel restaurants were really expensive (at least for my taste). The pool is not heated, but it is very nice and the water wasn't too cold. There was a lot of traffic an construction noise outside that made it's way into our room but it didn't really seem to bother me so much. Overall, it was nice, I would probably stay here again because of the are it's located in
