Mercure Alamedas is a really well located hotel right next to offices, main streets and just 4 miles away from Congonhas Airport (which is a big deal when we are talking about São Paulo and its traffic). We really can do everything on a walking basis (restaurants, drugstores) and you are just minutes away from the best malls. Amenities are ok. A regular swimming-pool on the rooftop and a small gym with basic equipment. The room is pretty good (nice shower, bed, really clean and with lots of space). Nice single sofa chair and good work station. Breakfast is ok. You can enjoy as many Nespressos you like during breaking and at the front desk during the day.
It is a nice pick for business trips to the city.
This was our first trip to São Paulo and had no idea what area to stay in but wanted to take advantage of my Accor Loyalty privileged. The Mercure Alamedas had both a fitness room and a pool (though we didn’t use the latter) so we went with it. Check in wasn’t very efficient even though I had done online check in and did not receive a welcome drink. That said, we had a privilege room which was spacious (wasted space a bit) though bathroom was tiny. The fitness room was okay for a small hotel- two treadmills, a bike and some weights. We didn’t do a lot of interacting with the front desk but when we asked for late check out, it was a seamless process.
The location was ideal with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Only real complaint I have is that the elevator is painfully slow. Plan for an extra 10 minutes to go up or down.
I would book again if visiting São Paulo.
Location, location, location - no other hotel in the same price category can beat this one.
There is everything in close proximity - a subway station Concolocao is around the coner, Paulista - the main avenida is 50 meters away, Grocery shop, Book store (Livraria), Department store, Restaraunts and Cafeterias (even Starbucks), you name it!
Also, breakfast is reallly great with a lot of fresh and delicious fruits, tonns of pastry, snacks etc. Nesspresso coffee is another plus. They have also a nice small open terrace, with a street view.
And yeah, they have a roof-top pool also. (what hotel in Sao Paulo does not have it 8)
This has become one of my favourite hotels in São Paulo and I am very pleased to see how much it has improved since my last review a year ago!
The reception has had a lift-up and is now very modern and appealing! All receptionists are always most kind and can tell you everything about São Paulo. The Mercure brand has no concierge per se but they do act as one, count on them!
Breakfast has improved, juices are now all fresh, but it's the same warm dishes every day - a bit of variation would be fine! Also, we know that the restaurant/breakfast personel come from a third party, but why not having a uniform and identification of some sort?
Internet is now excelent, strong and reliable! The pool on the top floor is a major relief on hot summer days!
I still insist on the room space being better used - chaning the armchair for a pool would make a huge difference, as well as having a stylish clock on the wall!
It is most conveniente to start and finish your tours or business plans from, you are better off nowehere else in Sampa!
It was my first time in Sao Paulo city and we booked with a private person a 3 months stay in apartment in Mercure Alamedas. This hotel is excellent for a Mercure! It deserve a 4 star rating not a 3 star. Breakfast excellent, everything what you wish from a good start in your day to eat. Staff excellent and very helpful. Top housekeeping and room service every day. Great rooftop pool with a very small gym which one is the only thing i have to complain. They need to put another machine inside for workout! Just to run is to little for a Mercure hotel.
We watched the new years eve firework from the top and liked our 3 month stay very much. One of the best Mercure i was in the last time! Special the staffs. Extremely friendly in all the ways....keep that....Mercure Alamedas.
