We had a wonderful experience in Sky Valley. I was skeptical about spending our honeymoon in Mankulam as I thought it would be just like an ordinary trip. But that was one of the BEST decision I made. Everything was great there from the point of our arrival.

Our stay was arranged in Sky Villa which was a tree house, the room was neat and enough for two people.

The trekking was an awesome experience , we got to know the extreme off road experience in jeep trekking. The driver(Sabu chettan) was a well experienced driver, he took us to a water fall and a lake which was extremely BEAUTIFUL. usually there was a river crossing by jeep but we had to skip it due to rain, But altogether it was an unforgettable trekking experience.

Now talking about the food, it was simply delicious, especially the bamboo chicken which was something i have never had and it has left me with a craving for the same. The cook was Das chettan. He showed us the way of cooking bamboo chicken which is a bit complicated process even though it looks easy. But its worth it as the taste is exquisite.

The main highlight was the people there. They genuinely wanted us to have a good time. Especially KIRAN, I can never thank him enough for making my trip a memorable one. He made our stay as comfortable as possible and treated us like friends rather than guests in his resort. Special thanks to Neeraj for being along Kiran and making our stay even more fun.

The location makes this place - a wonderful spot up in the mountains. It's a good hour and a half drive from Munnar through tree plantations and bumpy roads, but worth the trip. The highlight was getting to see the wild elephants come to the local watering hole.
The treehouse room was quaint though had perhaps seen better days - rather a firm mattress. We had to ask for a towel and a sheet and there is no mosquito screen so we couldn't open the window at night. However, the hosts were incredibly keen to please. We had a lovely dinner out in the garden and the food was tasty.

A great place to relax and let go of all your day to day stress. The weather, the beauty of the forest calms your mind.

Rooms were very clean. Deepak owner of the resort and the executive Staffs Nawas & Christy treated us very friendly. They provided with clean and neat room with good interiors. Tree hut houses are main attraction in this resort. The food was good and hygienic.

If your looking for a best wild staying experience, The Sky Valley is the best option I could suggest. Overall The Sky Valley Resort is worth for money. Thanks!

We came here looking for something a bit different and this place certainly is. Located about 25 km from Munnar itself, it's the perfect get away. The ride to get there is an experience in itself - through hilly roads, beautiful tea plantations and lush forest it's a real treat fro nature lovers and those who like the outdoors. We stayed in one of the tree houses which although for the room rate was quite basic inside ( no a/c just wall fan) the view and the location more than made up for this. We had an amazing time just sitting on the veranda admiring the view and bird watching. The staff are really friendly and Mr Poppins the manager looked after us really well. We walked several times to Mankulum and then the other way to the forest- the surrounding area is stunning. You can also take a jeep ride to the waterfalls and to spot wild elephants ( if you're lucky).

hello..
we visited there in december-2015.we book it through make my trip.this hotel located in a isolated place..we traveled 32kms from munnar to reach there through extremely hilly the exact location was mannuculum.that journey was a horrible one.next day for sight seen we start at 8 o'clock.no breakfast before 8.30 in the resort. For first sight we covered 40kms in the morning.half of energy gone there travelling through extremely hilly area.we have short time for sightseen because we have to return to resort before 4.30pm..because u cannot travel that area in the night.so we cann't complete our munnar tour.some sight we couldnot cover which was bad.Next morning we had to travel to Coimbatore for this another 32kms horrible journey to munnar. So total 120km horrible journey. So not at all recommended for those who want to explore munnar. But this was not the fault of resort.the site through which we booked. But good thing was who wants enjoy the nature & want to rest their it is a good place .we booked a deluxe room which was ver soacious, neat Staffs are good .They served authentic cousins which was also very tasty.Only concern is distance from munnar to resort which is tiring, scary, horrible& unnecessary wastage of time.So those want to explore munnar please avoid this resort just book somewhere in munnar.
