Driving with a baby and a cat is stressful enough and so I went with Days inn since I usually am so happy with their hotels, unfortunately this hotel is not a good one!

For starters the sign outside said “now serving hot breakfast” when they were not! (COVID 19 I guess) but still doesn’t take that much work to change a sign so very misleading. When telling the front desk girl about this she said oh well I’ve told maintenance but he obviously hasn’t gotten to it which he hasn’t been fixing stuff around the hotel, that’s for sure because the bathroom in our room seriously needed a re-doing, cracked bathtub, cracked tile, cracked toilet seat, a leaky and dripping shower head and sink faucet.

Next I let my baby walk around barefoot which now I realized was a mistake because when I picked him up his feet were BLACK and sticky!

The chair in the room was filthy, I’ve honestly seen cleaner chairs on the side of the road

We found a bottle cap which wasn’t ours, and I’m just glad I found it before my kid or cat did.

There was an employee who told me I should “use the stairs because I wouldn’t fit along with her cart”

I am sure the rate we paid was fair enough, $119 and that things would have been pricier further into Tucson. There were much cheaper rates online, but my husband had gone to front desk in person, not sure if he was given an AAA or senior rate.

We had driven past this area after stopping at Picacho Peak after driving from Phoenix enroute to
Tucson area. We had visited Tohono Chul gardens.

So I had taken note of all the hotels & told my
husband we should head back.

The front desk guy here was nice. The lobby was
very nice and clean.

Some sort of altar with coin offerings in the lobby.

Sorry to say, but want other travelers to know that
the contrast between main lobby and our room on the second floor was pretty significant.

Enough so, that when we got off the elevator, there was such a marked difference and we entered our
room, we almost turned around and left. A very noticeable contrast. Suddenly everything seemed dingy and dirty. Not sure if it was the lighting??

The room was really dark and dank. I turned on the
air to see if that would help. Everything just felt dirty. The carpet in particular. Dark in color, so impossible to know just how dirty it was. An already begun toilet
paper in the bathroom holder. One tissue left in the tissue holder.

Maybe the lobby has been remodeled and not the rooms? Definitely not the second floor.

Your standard hotel furnishings. A “partial coverlet”
(never know what these are called) or bed scarf that probably never gets washed. I never get the point of those. A greasy head imprint? on one of the
headboards. Let’s just say, the kind of place where you do not want to put your bags on the floor. The sheets were soft and a dirty color that made them
look like they needed a good bleaching.

We decided to stay since it was only one night.

I would give it a poor rating if it were not for the courteous staff. Included breakfast was nothing
special.

Probably the last time I will choose Days Inn.

This is an outstanding property. Our room is clean, modern and spacious. The rooms are worth the price.

The staff is wonderful and so friendly. I brought my service dog and was welcomed.

The staff has great in suggesting places to visit and eat.

The room was nice and the property was all right but I was charged more than I was told when I checked in. I needed to extend 1 night and checked with the manager on duty who said she would extend us. The next day the cleaning lady thought we were checking out. We had not been extended. I was told it would be more to stay an extra night. It was much more than the previously nights.
