I spent just one night in Mossel Bay but I regret I could stay at least for another night... and just because Lavandula Manor! lovely room with every amenities, incredible breakfast. Swimming pool available in summer time.
We spent two nights at Lavandula Manor in Mosselbay. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and given a quick tour of the beautiful place.
Magnificent ocean views from the downstairs pool area, boasting a lovely pool as well as a very attractive breakfast area with a balcony that overlooks the ocean to stunning effect.
The establishment was moderately priced, very clean, very well maintained and has friendly staff that were keen to make our stay as nice as possible.
Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, serviced daily, fresh linen/towels, with a comfy mattress, WIFI access, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom (but with a sort of open plan toilet that may not be to everyones liking). The room did not have airconditioning, (it had a decent pedestal fan available) but considering it wasnt summer, we didnt need an aircon at all.
Situated in Marsh street very close to shops, attractions, etc. Ideally located.
A nice breakfast is served that covers the daily breakfast need conveniently. The lounge area is relaxing with a lovely fireplace and a big screen TV too.
Lavandula Manor is one of the nicer guesthouses around, and I'll definitely recommend this place.
We had a great time!
Stayed at Lavandula Manor on Thursday, sadly we were only booked in for one night as we progressed along the Garden Route. We received the warmest, friendliest welcome from Marie-Louise who introduced us to this beautiful guest house with a welcome drink by the pool.
The property enjoys a great position at the top of Mossel Bay, giving the rooms, the pool and the terrace great views of the ocean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and there are some lovely personalised touches which make you feel like a friend coming to stay rather than a paying guest.
The bed linens were of the highest quality and ensured a very restful nights sleep. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely with plenty to choose from and again that amazing view.
Thank you for your great hospitality and the recommendation to visit the Map of Africa in Wilderness, it didn't feature in any guidebooks but was so worth the visit.
I wish we could have stayed longer and should we return, will definitely visit again.
We were travelling around and did not have somewhere prebooked for the night.
After viewing another accommodation option in the area and feeling disappointed, we looked on Booking.com and found this place.
We had a figure of £40-£50 in our head so turned up to see what the room was like.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by an exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic lady.
We were shown a choice of two rooms - one being the £40-£50 option seen online (which was lovely and we would have jumped at it had we not been shown the next option!) and a suite which cost slightly more but we fell in love with it.
We opted for the suite with its own kitchenette, bathroom, shower room and huge living space. The room was next to the pool and although we didn’t use it- it was a nice addition to the already beautiful view.
Breakfast was faultless.
I would return in a heartbeat.
We were very fortunate to be in the superior room. Is was out of this world. Amazing room & very large. A massive bath to relax in whilst being able to look over the bay with stunning views. However, no1 can see you 👍🏻. Bathroom was brilliant & spacious, bed was a super king size & very comfortable. Ample wardrobe space with coat hangers. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board all included. A lovely swimming pool which was never busy.
Breakfast was nice with a great deal to choose from & again stunning views.
Staff were friendly & extremely helpful throughout our stay.
We loved it here
