I've stayed here a number of times and had another very nice stay and everything was very good as usual, my friend had room 6 and he kept finding other peoples waste in his toilet bowl so I'd avoid room 6.
Stayed on Thursday evening as we where attending a wedding at West Towers on the Friday. As soon as we entered the warm, beautifully decorated spotless building we were greeted by smiley staff who just couldn't do enough for you. You can tell the staff enjoy their work. The bedroom was very clean, spacious, loved the free toiletries and amenities. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The house keeper was amazing and the young male waiter who served our meal really went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed. Looking for an excuse to stay again.
The best feature of this hotel is its staff: every one of them was welcoming, friendly, polite and very helpful. If you have a problem they sort it with zero fuss and without making you feel like an inconvenience. This is far rarer than you’d think in hotels and makes all the difference to a stay! You’ve built a great team with good customer focus - well done and keep that up!
The food is very good too - breakfast and dinner. Good quality ingredients nicely presented.
The room is spacious and comfortable and very clean. Good tea/coffee facilities and nice toiletries included which was an unexpected bonus.
Overall, I think it’s good value for the price.
There are a few touches I think could make it even better, and I note them here in the hope the hotel owners review their feedback (I can see the manager does, but I doubt they have budgetary control to make the changes I’d suggest).
1. Some sound proofing between rooms. There is none at all. You can hear the conversations, People peeing, toilet lids closing and extractor fans in the next rooms. You really don’t want that in a hotel stay.
2. More radiators in the bigger rooms. My room was very cool throughout my stay and only had one smallish radiator which struggled to heat it.
3. Mattress toppers. The beds are comfy and large, but the sprung mattresses have buttoned finishes on top and they kind of dig in a bit. No need to replace what are clearly good-quality mattresses, but a topper would add an extra layer of comfort and feel a bit more luxurious.
4. Door handles on the outside of the bedroom doors. This sounds daft, but there are none and my door didn’t fully close on its own so I was having to try all manner of finger gymnastics trying to grasp the blanking plate and use it to pull the door closed. It would be too easy to accidentally leave your door slightly ajar without knowing.
As I said, it is very good value, these things would simply push it to the next level.
We picked this hotel as we were attending a wedding at near by West Tower. This was a perfect location. The rooms are really nice modern big spacious rooms with an en suite bathroom and an amazing powerful shower. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed one night, for the price we paid thought great value. Large comfortable bed, powerful shower, clean room and great food. Not a five star only because the room itself is a little tired looking but would definitely stay again
