I booked this condo for a group of friends and myself headed to Breckenridge. It is a 10 min walk to the lift and a 5 minute walk to Main St. There were 8 of us so we booked a condo with 7 beds and a pullout couch. The condo was sufficient for the price, although dated. The owners sent us directions with move in instructions with a 4 digit key code for entry.

After move in we headed to dinner. While at dinner I received a frantic call from one of the owners that we had moved into the wrong condo. I asked how that could be possible as we moved into the one designated on the instructions and the key code worked on the door letting us in. They insisted that we screwed up and would need to move immediately. I advised them that we would be happy to move once we returned from dinner.

Due to heavy snow, an avalanche and road closures we were not able to return that night, actually having to get a hotel room in another town. We called the owners to let them know the situation and thought it was resolved. They said they would still need us to move during a Saturday, our last day to ski. They offered us 2 pizzas to move? When I told them that we can buy our own pizzas, they offered a $400 credit to move. I advised that I would talk to the group and get back to them. After discussion, we decided that the hassle of moving during a day of skiing was not worth the money and I called the owners to let them know.

Two days later, we got another frantic message from the owners stating that if we did not move, they would consider us to be trespassing and that they had already notified the police? I called them back to get more details and was told to, "just stay in the unit and see what happens."

We eventually agreed to move, since our vacation had already been interrupted enough. They never apologized, although they did eventually credit the $400 to my account.

I cannot recommend staying here, but if you do, get to know Kai the on-site manager. He is a superstar and the main reason this place keeps going.

As I said, the condo is sufficient for what we expected, this rating is based on the hassle and treatment we experienced from the management. Had we not been treated so poorly, this place would have been nice enough for the price.

We were in a unit that had "sleeping" spots for up to 14....we rented it for 8 and even that was a challenge. We were two sets of grandparents [one took the room with 2 double beds and nice bath with tub/shower]; one took the double bed 'off the living room with slidng doors for privacy and bath with shower....there wasspace for a pull out couch in this space which we pulled into the fireplace room in order to have seating for up to 7 around fireplace and tv...however, one cannot close the doors with couch moved out]; parents with two teens took the oter room with two bunks...supposed for sgnles on top and doubles on bottom...would be way too crowed...even four in that room was cosy. Bathroom was smll with a small shower and shower head thad made you move around to find water]. beds were comfortable enough and linens & bedding fine...towels quality okay but had to wash during the week as only one per person. No facecloths but whn called and asked, they brought some. The dining table had a bench and 4 chairs, so we had to pull up stools and put on pillows so 8 could eat together. There are bar stools, not very comfortable, that one could use to sit at kitchen counter. Open spce living area okay...couches not particularly comfortable in spite of lots of pillows. Gas log fireplace was delightful. Kitchen had a lot of utensils, cookware....all good quality; plenty of dishes, etc., for 8 at a meal with dishwasher to make ready for the next. We did have to request muffin pans and a cake pan [wanted 9 x 9 but they brought 9 z 13] which helped....however wanted to mak a birthday cake and no mixer.....otherwise, well stocked. Temperature control in various rooms a challenge.....we kept a pot of water boiling on the stove to help with the dryness as there was no humidifer. Kitchen appliances all worked well and plenty of hotwater for all needs. Washer/dryer in next building - $1,75 per wash load and $1.50 per dry load. Did not use hot tubs nor pool. Reasonable walking distance downtown and to ski slope and Maggie's restaurant [very pricy - one hamburger $15+]

This feels like a nice 3 bedroom apartment directly to the south of Breckenridge. All of Breckenridge began with a 1 minute walk to downtown.

Breckenridge can get a little congested on Main Street. This location was perfect as traffic in and out of the complex was not bad at all. We’re not skiers, but the location was close to the lifts. For our family outing in the summer, we look forward to returning to Breck in the years to come.

This is a vacation rental, so we purchased groceries etc. The kitchen had everything we needed, but we still ate out as well.

Our unit (3 bedrooms) at the lift was great for a family with several kids. Scott was very helpful with our stay the first week of July. He made sure that any questions we had were answered quickly and responded within a few hours. The room was just as described, but the photos don’t do it justice. The dining area had plenty of room for a family with several kids. The Wi-FI worked without lagging and the beds were comfortable.

The granite countertops were nice and we could tell this had been recently remodeled. Covered parking and only having to walk up a few stairs was a big plus.

The family room and kitchen were beautiful. We sat in front of the gas fireplace with the flip of a switch. The kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed in 108. The bunk room had a great updated bathroom and a laundry which was nice. The beds were a little uncomfortable but we were so exhausted after skiing that we slept anyway. The other 2 bathrooms need updating but I used the updated one. It looks like the unit is in the progress of some updating and 5 stars in the kitchen and family area. Recommend new beds, baths, bedding, towels, etc. and some new games with all the pieces. The unit was a little untidy and we loved the balcony but a few chairs and a clean area would have made it even better. We walked through the path the ski ( A 5-10 minute hike) and only 5 minutes to town. We would stay again.

Response from skibreck, Owner at The Lift Condominiums
Responded 7 Apr 2014
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and found the condo had everything you needed including a well stocked kitchen and a private washer & dryer. Guests always love our location with just a short, easy walk to the Quicksilver chairlift & ski school and also just a block or so to all the action on Main Street. We hope you'll stay again soon as we'd love for you to see our new updates for the '14/'15 ski season.
