Quite possibly one of the worst places we have ever stayed - well, that's a bit harsh. But the hotel itself is mediocre overall, and that's being generous.
Our room was very small and the decor was very dated. The tv must have been in the room since the hotel was built - see photo.
The bathroom had a most unpleasant smell. There were no toiletries - not even some old soap.
Breakfast can best be described as "basic". I guess you can fill up on it, but pre-cooked omelette doesn’t tempt me at all. In addition, breakfast doesn't even commence untill 8am. Never in my life have I stayed at a hotel with this start time. It's just too bad for you if you are an early riser or you need to leave early. You can just go hungry.
The girl on the reception desk is very helpful as is the girl in the dining area. I would think it must be very depressing to work in such an environment!
The pool seems quite large with a fair amount of seating, but the water looked rather cloudy to me. Not tempting!
The hotel boasts a spa and a gym on their web page. In fact, neither are in operation.
Maybe do a bit more searching before actually booking here. Or at least be prepared for VERY ORDINARY.
I participated in a Polish bus tour which visited this hotel at the same time with a French (all inclusive) group. A preference treatment was highly visible. Especially, when dinning room waiters asked us (Poles) to pay for everything extra (in their opinion). Coffee after dinner - pay ! A slice of lemon - pay or we don't have it! And a theatrical scenes of covering "for French only" salads on the buffet table and taking pictures when the trays are uncovered for a "better" group - oh, please, save me this experience!
We are regular visitors of Kalamos and visited Dolphin Hotel several times.

The room the bar and the pool were dirty, real dirty. The food quality that we enjoyed the last years was extremely bad.
We missed the warm welcome we had from the all the lovely staff, at stead, we felt that they were forced to say even a good morning. My plan was to stay a week but after 3 days we left because of all these …
At arrival we got to know that the hotel had changed ownership 2 month ago.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room we had booked was a superior room with seaside view. A spacious room with morning and evening sun on the balconi. The pictures on the website show the beach front but the reality is the description of 200 meters to the beach. The new owners started to renovate some area's for instance the spa area was closed for that reason. The hotel is a bit tired.
The pool area is very nice. The breakfast buffet was a complete continental breakfast. The dinner buffet is nice. There is also the possibility to chose from the menu. The beeftaki is excellent as well as some other Greek specialities.
Wifi was available in the room but sometimes a bit slow.
A hint for the new owner would be to train the cleaning team and to prepare a checklist for what has to be in the room and bathroom.
Dolphin hotel has clean rooms, the staff was great and very helpfull, the breakfast was delicious and we had an excellent sea view room with a comfortable balcony...I would also reccomend this hotel for families because of the kid's swimming pool!
