My husband and I stayed her for 2 days in February 2020. The room was clean, comfortable and included everything we needed. We loved sitting on the fully screened in porch overlooking the water. We were in the area for kayaking, hiking and biking in the everglades. I would love to return in the future.
Stayed for one night in November 2019. We hadn't booked, but the owner was really friendly and we got an apartment. The accommodation suited us, with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, along with a kitchen and separate bathroom.
The setting was the best bit- it overlooked the water and we could use their canoes, paddles and life jackets for free while we were there. We went out in the morning on the canoes and it was lovely. Thoroughly recommend it.
Stayed here for one night in August. It met our needs in every way. The "room" was really a small cottage that included a separate living area, dining room, pretty well equipped kitchen, and most important a screened in porch overlooking the river. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The views were spectacular. The property is non smoking, but you can smoke on the screened in porches. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and informative, giving us lots of information about the location and things to see and do-- including the use of canoes (which we did not take advantage of)--- and providing maps. The price was very reasonable, although I would guess it increases during the winter season. Would highly reccomend this for a stay in the Everglades.
we had a 2 bedroom apartment, the enclosed outside seating was a real bonus to keep away the flies. really peaceful and comfortable place with friendly staff. a good base for trips out on the everglades. everglades City is not big and not a city
This is individual twin apartments built on stilts. Very unique and it allows parking below each unit. Each unit has AC, kitchen and bath facilities with Wi-Fi and cable TV. It is unusual design built along the shores of Placid lake. It has "free canoes and kayaks" for guests on a first come basis. There are about 14 apartments with different designs for the number of guest. The Villas are close to the center of town and all outdoor activities like fishing and site seeing. I mention in the amenities they have no suites, but each unit is designed for different number of guests.
