My boyfriend and I made a reservation, arrived at the hotel around 8:30pm. Checked in, went to the room and we do our normal routine quick scan to make sure our room is clean. The bed had multiple pieces of hair scattered throughout the bed. Light switches extremely dirty. Called front desk from the room, 5 mins later she brought a key to another room. Went to check that bed, it was a huge brownish stain. We took a picture went down to front desk, she gave us the 3rd room. That room was better, however went to use the phone and the phone was not in the room at all. Went to tell front desk did not want to be charged for something we did not have. Anyway this hotel cleaning staff needs to do better! Ridiculous to feel the need to "throughly" clean behind you as a paying customer and tired coming off long drives! Compensation is definitely due!

The room was nice and bed was comfortable. A few cleanliness issues but we cleaned it ourselves. My biggest complaint was all the ladybugs in the room. Normally I wouldn’t complain because I’d rather have them than roaches but they wouldn’t stop flying in our faces or on us. The staff said it was bc it’s the south and the bigs were cold being outside. I guess I looked like I’d believe anything. Smdh. The breakfast was fantastic and the gym was nice as well. Overall not a bad experience.

For a business trip with several colleagues, I debated between this and the HGI next door, and it came down to being irked that the HGI charges $11 extra for breakfast, while it's included at Home2, while being a lower rate to start. To be fair, the HGI is a freshly prepared breakfast, while the offerings at Home2 are heat-up entrees (like you might find at RaceTrac), but they were actually pretty decent! I will comment that the first morning there was no yogurt, but it appeared the other three mornings. I also thought fresh fruit was lacking (bananas brown first morning).

Home2 being an extended stay is setup so you can buy a Hot Pocket in the lobby and heat it up in your room. I'm just very unlikely to do that. There's no restaurants to speak of within walking distance (there was some odd Chinese place at the corner in a former Wendy's). So we tried the HGI "restaurant" (really a bar with food), which we ate at - not bad. Even though my kitchenette went unused, it's a nice roomy single-room "suite" to spread out in. Bedding was comfy - well above average.

So, I'm happy with the choice, we still had access to a walkable bar/restaurant while having a nice room and decent breakfast at a lower cost. (Even if it's being expensed I'm thrifty...)

Didn't find out shampoo and bath gel dispensers were empty until shower in the morning meanwhile house keeping didn't leave any soap nor shampoo in the bathroom. Called front desk and they dropped off soap bar and conditioner. End up didn't get to wash my hair that day. Went back to the hotel in the evening and house keeping filled bath gel but shampoo dispenser remained empty! Asked front desk for shampoo and he searched entire hotel and didn't have any!!! He said he had nothing to do with this and the only he can do is to apologize. He also suggested me speaking with the manager the next morning. He made it sounded like this was "my problem". Consider this being a rather new hotel, the condition of the room was under my expectation. Some drinking glasses inside the room was not clean. Bedding did not smell fresh. Some towels got stain. Not impressed with this hotel at all. Should have stayed at Hilton Garden next door.
