We stayed for a night as stop over between Pakse to 4,000 islands. It is a relaxing resort style hotel with huge garden with hydrangea flowers. Playground for children is available. Sadly, the garden is not well-maintained including the children playground. Front desk and restaurant staff could not speak English at all, only the manager can speak good English. Big room but cleanliness needs improvement too as thick layer of dust can be noticed at the cabinet surface, etc. Not much facility other than restaurant and cafe. Nothing nearby other than one small local grocery shop opposite the resort. Security is a question mark as any stranger can go in/ out the resort freely without proper fencing and security. There were some construction going on tho build a Swimming pool, which might improve the experience in future. Breakfast was surprisingly pretty good with freshly prepared fried egg and sausages, local noodle soup, etc. Coffee was pretty good too with good coffee machine. Hence, the best experience we had in this hotel was the breakfast experience with outdoor sitting enjoying chilly morning with garden view.

I stayed here for a night after a work trip to Pakse, to get out of the city a relax a bit. Upon arrival I was shown to my room, which was spacious and very well-appointed. Then, I tried to head to the pool, which was locked with no staff around, at 3pm. I then had to walk back to reception and get the staff member there to let me in. The view from the pool was spectacular, and they have a beautiful bar there but unfortunately no bartender, which is a bit disappointing.

Going to bed, I thought it would be nice to sleep with the windows open because of the cooler weather, which was not possible because of karaoke blaring until at least 10:30. Music was still going at 5:45 am when I woke up, which really takes away from the peace and tranquility. Not sure if I caught it on a bad day, or if this is normal for a Saturday night, but my room in Pakse was quite, which shouldn’t be the case.

Breakfast wasn’t great, mostly carbs (rice, rice soup, bread, stir fried instant noodles)with some stirfried vegetables, and some green bananas. Outdoor shower was a nice idea, but was covered in mold and moss and left my feet dirtier than before. I understand it’s rainy season, but I feel this could’ve been cleaned occasionally.

Thank you for your review which is really great for us to improve our resort. We apologies for the pool which in soft opening. We are waiting for bar equipment and it locks because we have not enough staff to serve at the pool on the day you stay and it still a little construction. This is our mistake which will improve in time. Normally our resort is quiet, but unfortunately on the date you stay, we have a big group party which stops late on that night. We will consider more serious to time control for the party next time. I'm not sure about the music in the morning I will check with our team for the detail, maybe it some guest's speaker not our facillities. Breakfast is more Asian because we have Taiwanese vegetarian on that moring, we will improve our breakfast to more variety as you suggest and in Laos, green bananas is ready to eat - it is famous in Laos called green bananas if you still in Laos don't miss to try :) The outdoor shower is the one we will more focus as you mentioned. Thank you for you stay and suggestion. We believed next time your stay these problems will be fixed.

This is a very nice resort in the Bolaven Plateau, about 30 km from Pakse and very near the best cascade in the area, Tad Fane. We had a couple of bungalow-type rooms, clean and with nice furnishings. Nice bathroom too, with a shower outdoors but shielded from any external view. An inconvenience was the presence of quite large ants (about 10 during our stage) in one of the rooms, but one has to take into account rooms are just in the middle of nature. Good wifi. Breakfast was just sufficient, with not too many non-asian options, and could be easily improved. Less than 50 euros per room in Booking. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good, with a sort of vegetable tempura and a spicy dipping sauce. Dinner was little more than 5 euros per person. For sure we will consider returning to this hotel if again in the area.

In the middle of nowhere, on the Bolaven Plateau looking out over the Sabaidee Valley lays a resort worth mentioning - Sabaidee Valley Resort. The site has lush gardens and a fantastic view. Rooms are spacious and have an inside and outside shower - none of these in a bath (which I hate). Each bungalow type room has large windows that overlook the garden, and although this limits extreme privacy, the views makes up for this.
Service is friendly and effective.
Breakfast a bit of a let down, with coffee being instant (in one of the coffee capitals of the world), but this does not subtract from my overall positive feeling about the place.

The resort is located on the way to Paksong town or around 30min from Pakse by private car. I went in winter and the weather were quite cold at night. On the first night I said at the two bedroom thai style villa next the cliff. The view was awesome. The bed was soft enough. Bathroom was large. However, the cool air at night can still leak through the floor and therefore the room was cold. The bathroom is indeed very cold at night as well as the water. Hot water tap seemed to be broken. Therefore, the next night we moved into the inner villa which was warmer. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was awesome. Breakfast were also really delicious.
