Ownership of this property has changed hands and they are welcoming and very accommodating to your needs. Room was clean and tidy, serviced regularly and I had the use of the pool at my leisure. Motel and villas are easy walk to Woolworths supermarket, cafe, shops, boardwalk and skate park. No car but managed to take the early morning bus and go to Stockland Shopping Centre and Gladstone on another day. Amazing scenery along the boardwalk and a beautiful breeze to sit and unwind as the boats sailed by you.

Made to feel very welcome.
Great place for us as we rode across to Tannum Sands in the afternoon, cooled off in pool and woke up to a pleasant 5ks run along Boyne River before hitting the road. Old style but clean and friendly.
Thanks Heather and Alan.

Thanks for a great stay!
I was only here overnight, with my nephew but we will be back!
Great quiet location. Walking distance to water and skate park (this is very important when you are 8).
Loved the gardens, pool and sitting areas! Very cosy and welcoming!
Motel rooms were fab, beds extremely comfy, we had everything we needed! Please commend yourselves and your housekeepers on the cleanliness of the rooms, they were exceptional! (This is a make or break point for me, I worked in accommodation for many years and I can attest that the cleanliness and presentation of your rooms is 5 star!)
Thanks! :-)

Owners are extremely helpful and lovely, they went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we could want or need. Beautifully presented grounds and accommodation that make you feel relaxed as soon as you get here. The cafe has great coffee, there's kayaks and fishing rods available, a lovely pool for the kids and an adorable little dog (Zeus) that we want to adopt! we highly recommend for a relaxing family (or couple) holiday.

I can honestly say we have never stayed in a place quite like this & I mean this in a good way ;-)
We stayed for just 2 nights & opted for a motel style room, although there are some wonderful free standing 1 & 2 bedroom fully self contained villas available. Our room had been recently renovated, new carpet, new bed with quality linen, new air conditioner, freshly painted & spotlessly clean. In our room was a microwave, toaster, jug & a small table & chairs should we have wished to dine in our room. We were also provided with free wifi.
The grounds are amazing, the owners, Helen & Dick have created lots of little private shady nooks with tables & chairs & have added some quirky little touches like a beach area with deck chairs & "Brightonesque" murals on their tin shed. There is also a swimming pool on site. There are BBQ facilities provided & a communal eating area should you wish to "throw a shrimp on the barby" & dine al fresco.
Boyne Island Motel & Villas is situated just a few steps from the Boyne River, ideal for fishing & kayaking or just exploring the area via the walking tracks or boardwalk.
Now to the important stuff - The facilities within the motel, pale into insignificance once you've experienced the hospitality of "mine hosts" Helen & Dick.
For us it all seemed to be a case of right place right time, so no guarantees that this will be your experience:
We arrived late afternoon, State of Origin night, we were driving a car with NSW number plates, we were in Qld.(gulp). We checked in, noticed blue jersey on wall in reception area (sigh of relief). Helen & Dick had originally come from NSW.
Dick had had a reasonable crab catch that day & was keen to share his culinary skills, which proved to be a little unorthodox (there was a gas ring, a wok & a half beer keg involved).
We were invited to join Helen, Dick, their friends & other guests to a wonderful dinner of delicious crab chowder. What a great night (despite our football loss)!
We have never experienced such genuine hospitality ever before during our travels, worldwide.
Well done, Helen & Dick, you've created something really special on Boyne Island.
