The room itself is very nice. The bathroom was not a welcoming site. There was hair left in the sink. The wood shelves were covered in dust and the air vent was packed with dust and dirt and who knows what else. The bathroom mirror that is quite nice had layers of dust on it too.. I’m one of the many people allergic to dust and it made my evening an unpleasant one. Fortunately I had some allergy medicine with me to control my sinuses that were so inflamed by the next morning, my nose was bleeding.
The closet had bottle caps on the floor with some other trash particles.
The front desk staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was great. The housekeeping department is failing.
I woke up to find a bed bug running across the area where I had just been sleeping. Killed it (filled with blood). Management was helpful and reversed my room charges. There HAS to be more the hotels in general can do to PREVENT this problem!!!
Also very noisy group in the room right above me. A terrible night!
We drove 4 hours in a misty rain and with near freezing temperatures for a family Thanksgiving dinner. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. They forwarded to us my tablet that I left in our room very promptly.
The hotel was nice. Our room was huge. The pool was cold and the hot tub didn't work. The complimentary breakfast was good. They offered complimentary water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies in the lobby.
We had a poor experience with a near by hotel. The hotel decision makers decided to install BRIGHT LED lights illuminating the outside of the building. Great idea for marketing. Also a great idea if they want to trick their guests into thinking it's 8am when it's actually 3am. So we canceled our stay and booked with the Hampton Inn. Since we cancelled we were candidates for an early check in. I called ahead and the gentleman arranged to have our room ready early. This was very helpful since we have a 5 month old. Soon as we landed in our room we were quickly reminded not to search on price alone. Thank you!
