We stayed at this hotel for Ogunquit Fest in late October. Our room was fantastic! Our bedroom which also doubled as a living room was able to accommodate everyone in my girlfriend's family (about 8 of us total) when we wanted to hang out when we came back from the fest and before we did our next activity. The front office staff were very friendly. The hotel was a nice and easy under 10 minute walk to the center of town. We were also a 4-5 minute walk from the Ogunquit Lobster Pound where we had a dinner on Saturday. The Sea View is an excellent choice for anyone coming to Ogunquit!
Stayed here for Ogunquitfest for the first time (been to OGT many times but first time at Seaview). Front desk staff were super friendly and waited for us to arrive from New York to check in late at night. Jacuzzi suite was very clean and spacious - perfect for hosting my family for breakfast during a rainy morning. Good location for walking to town. Would definitely visit again!
Beds are very comfortable, room very clean. Location is great and convenient to getting around Ogunquit, ME. Close to downtown and many restaurants. Main beach not far away and a short ride to Wells Beach. Beautiful ride on Rt 1.
We enjoyed our stay for this was a great location for a reasonable price. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast fulfilled our needs with juice, coffee, bread items(in our case, a bagel)and muffins. There was also cereal and yogurt that was available. The staff was very helpful with suggestions. We were able to easily walk to Ogunquit Beach from the motel. The 2 chairs provided in our room were very welcome to eat our breakfast and be able to watch TV.
Booking direct on the motel website, paying cash, and not requiring room service got us such a good rate that it tips what might have been 4 1/2 up to a five star rating. Clean, VERY comfortable bed, nonsmoking rooms, free wifi, all the usual furniture plus: an armoire, two wing chairs.
The mini refrigerator and microwave were one step above other motel rooms we've stayed at in Ogunquit that were higher priced; they gave us added flexibility on some breakfast and lunch snacks without the extra cost of restaurants for every meal. The Continental breakfast was slightly less complete for our particular preferences than at a nearby (more expensive) motel, but yogurt and apples were a plus for us, as was all-day coffee; they had OJ, bagels, a couple of cereal choices, etc. so I'm sure it was fine for most folks. BTW, that was the most minor of snipes to us.
Though we could hear the surf from outside our room, it wasn't in view from any of the balconies I tried. Owners very friendly, solicitous, and available while we were there. Overall, a fine place to stay, and of the three local motels we've stayed at, we'd plan to return to Sea View rather than the others.
