The house is beautiful and perfectly located. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. We loved the separate lounge and dining room inside the house. The kitchen is spacious and a 'lekker' gathering place while making meals. The pool is beautiful. The deck area is spacious, all the chairs are comfortable and the cast iron fire cauldron amplifies the ambience. One special house!
Kari and staff were very friendly in welcoming us with drinks and champagne on our arrival.
Our Game Ranger, Izaan was a super star and very caring.
Our stay was truly memorable.

We stayed at Nyala Sands Lodge, which used to be the owners home. We were the only guests at the time and were made to feel very at home here. A beautiful location in the heart of Kruger National Park. Wonderfully looked after by two very lovely ladies, Nompi and Innocentia. 2 drives a day included in the price and our wonderful guide Christelle made sure that we had the best experience possible. Wonderful food, thank you Nompi. Spectacular rooms, spiralling out from the Lodge, waking up to see Impala and various wildlife outside of your room was simply amazing. A beautiful deck with a plunge pool and a fire pit that one can sit around in the evening. All mod cons in the middle of nowhere, wifi a bit hit and miss but that does not distract from the overall experience! We feel so lucky that we chose this place, nothing could have been better. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great safari experience.

We had an amazing experience in this hotel. Couldn’t ask for more.
The hotel is like a boutique hotel. There are few rooms. The service is very personalized .The room is very spacious and comfortable. Super clean. The staff is just great. They do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable.
The food is delicious.
The best part though is the game drive. We had an amazing experience. We could see all the big five in the reserve (it’s important to say that the game drive does not go inside the Kruger, but you don’t miss anything, you can see everything in the private reserve. Actually the experience is even better because you get much closer to the animals than you would get in Kruger).
It’s worth to say that we had an incredible experience watching a leopard with Nicole. She is great! We could see lots of animals thanks to her!

We arrived tired and hungry after a long flight x 2 from Perth to Nyala but we were received with a warm welcome and amazing hospitality. The Villa room is bright and spacious, the shower I loved it was amazing. What a wonderful time we had at Nyala. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was prepared fresh and lovely - we were the only people in the Villas and we had amazing care! Nicholle and Nompi were delightful. The setting, the food, the safari drives, the location, the animals were all spectacular. Our guide was loveley - she was funny, knowledgeable, caring, a great driver she even came back and took us out as she knew cheetah had been sighted after we got back from our morning drive. Nothing was too much trouble. I would come back again - I LOVED it.

We stood 3 nights in august in Nyala Lodge, we appreciated our room and the Lodge environment. But probably in august is too dry, the river rounding the Lodge had not water, and the reserve area is very poor of animals. It was not been a good experience in our game drive. Maybe in august are better the Lodges located in the south Krueger area.

Good day Thank you for your review - we are very sorry that you did not see enough animals. August is a very dry and windy time of the year especially that we are going through a bit of drought in the area at the moment as we have had a very shortage of rainfall in the early part of the year. The river in front of the lodge is a perennial river and only flows when there is flooding in the area. The dry river bed is dry normally all year round. We hope you will come back in our summer months to enjoy the area once more Kind regards Tanja
