I recently stayed at Riverview BNB in Piermont. What a pleasure! Everything was just as promised and more! Beautiful living room with a lovely gas fireplace, wonderful linens on the bed, a really well appointed kitchen with all the appliances you could need. I stayed in Piermont to be near family and was able to walk to all the locations in the village...restaurants, shopping, and family! I would definitely stay there again. Corolla was kind and helpful!
Cozy accommodations for a weekend away in a small town with delicious spots to enjoy. Beautifully decorated “firehouse” suite is perfect for those who want a private, home-like place within a greater BNB. The owner Corolla was kind and helpful, offering dining recommendations and a few words of wisdom. The refrigerator was stocked with organic breakfast food for us to make in the well-appointed separate kitchen. High recommend !
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel/motel/bed and breakfast. When we arrived, the kitchen was a mess... half eaten fruit on the counter and crumbs all over the kitchen. The owner's dog has a bed in the kitchen. The room we were supposed to stay in was TINY and the mattress was so old that it had permanent indentations from years of previous guests sleeping in it . The ceiling in the living area was peeling, the mirror on the bedroom closet door was cracked, the window to the door in the living area was covered with a piece of cardboard and the doorknob was missing. The paint was chipped and peeling in our bedroom and in the living area and the refrigerator had rotting food inside. As if all of that wasn't enough, she told us that she had just found two dead mice floating in her kitchen sink that morning... then asked us what we wanted for breakfast. My girlfriend and I refused to stay and the owner still declines to refund us our money. A call to the better business bureau and the Rockland County Health Department are definitely in order! This place was disgusting! Can I rate this a ZERO?
"Quaint" is the word. A really interesting building with interesting views. I stayed in the suite. The kitchen was stocked with cheeses, jellies, English muffins, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and staying here let me explore a very interesting town.
Three different room options in this particular location. One on the far left (if you're looking at the house from the street), one in the back of the main area. And one upstairs on the right house. We stayed in the one on the left of the house. The bedroom attaches to a common room and the bathroom meant for that guest attaches right of the same room just a couple footsteps away. The back bedroom attaches to the kitchen area and I believe that guest's bathroom is also just off the kitchen. The upstairs unit is all in one, has its own kitchenette and bathroom, self contained. The room we stayed in did have the tendency to get pretty warm- like several degrees warmer than the adjacent rooms. The area was quaint and quiet. The back of the B&B meets a small creek and what used to be an old silk factory just beyond that. Several choices were offered for breakfast and the breakfasts we had were prepared very well and delicious. The owner has a dog that also helps warm the heart if you're missing any of your small furry loved ones at home. Carolla, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the local business and can make recommendations for you if you're looking for things to do. She offers a variety of teas and uses organic soaps and products. We had positive experiences across the board here and would deffinitely stay there again in the future.
