We stayed at the Doylestown Inn in October while celebrating my birthday in the Bucks County area. The hotel staff were very warm and gave us excellent information to help us enjoy our stay which included free parking only a few blocks away from the Inn. We were greeted with tea and coffee as we arrived and left with a free continental breakfast upon check-out. Unfortunately the Inn's restaurant was closed for renovations during our stay, but we'll look forward to eating there on our next trip. The inn however, is within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops so we were able to walk to the restaurant that we reserved for dinner in 3 minutes. The room was very romantic. We stayed in a King bedroom with a fireplace and we enjoyed the ambiance of the room. this will be our place to stay when we visit Bucks County.
The uniqueness of this boutique hotel is captured in the quaint and creative decor, excellent personal service and exceptional culinary delights. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights (rm 304). Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. Excellent mattress and comfortable soft bedding made for a good sleep after traveling. Clean, comfortable washroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The Hattery Restaurant serves excellent meals at reasonable prices. Both hotel service staff and restaurant staff are kind, helpful, and professional. Samantha, manager/owner goes out of her way to ensure your stay is perfect. Front desk staff is very helpful especially if you are a tourist. The location of the Inn is perfect to wander the local shops including the Mercer Museum and James A. Michener Art Gallery. We will definitely return! Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed here on a Saturday night as part of a wedding block for our friends’ nuptials in town! Hotel is lovely and in the center of the charming town! Room was small but modern and very clean. Water pressure was decent but not too much space on the sink counter to hold your bathroom items. Hotel is unstaffed after 10pm but we were provided with a keyfob access card to enter on our own after the wedding so it was no problem!
The restaurant in the hotel was delicious for a morning brunch. We had the French toast and scrapple with potatoes and eggs! Fairly reasonable in pricing too.
The only strange issue was parking. We were lucky to have found street parking within the same block and paid $1/hr until it became free at 5pm. The hotel does have 6 spots (although they have more than 6 rooms in the hotel) they can reserve to guests on a first come first serve basis so be sure to ask them to hold a pass when you call and make a reservation. It’s two blocks away. We had reserved a pass but since we found more convenient and closer parking, we returned the parking placard for other guests to use.
My husband and I at the very last minute to a ride to Doylestown for overnight get away. We came across this Inn and popped in. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who said they had availability. We got a basic room which was clean and very lovely. Bed was comfortable and room has a mini fridge.
There is a bar/restaurant in hotel as well. I didn’t find hotel noisy as a result although we were on 3rd floor.
Doylestown is a lovely little town with lots of shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend.
We stayed in the turret room on the third floor (#305) and it was lovely. The room is huge, has a fireplace and a jetted tub in the bathroom, along with a king bed. We had a nice lunch in the Hattery, and checked out the basement level bar, even though it wasn't open that night. very cool space....
