Charming and clean. The owners were super friendly and most accommodating. My husband couldn't eat a few items due to a dietary restriction and they substituted different foods which was so nice of them! They have a coffee/tea bar with hot chocolate mixes and cookies that are always available along with a fresh baked brownie or cake of the day. Breakfasts were delish and portions very generous. I loved the peach French toast and my hubby loved their egg/potato/cheese frittata. Also this B&B has small wall mounted TV screens & CD players in each room providing cable service and a bookcase full of CD's in the puzzle room if you don't like what's on TV. All rooms have their own baths, they are on the small side, but you're talking about a house built in 1825, it's amazing they were able to add private showers at all. Hot water was plentiful when showering and they provided a cute basket of soaps/shampoos. The king bed was soft with nice linens (we stayed in the Mallard room). The only ding would be the duvet cover. I'm not a big fan of them since they make me too hot, but that's just my preference. If you love B&B's you won't be disappointed.... now I have to figure out how to make that peach french toast!
Room was great and very relaxing, breakfast was fantastic! The house was nicely decorated for the holidays. Took advantage of relaxing in the jacuzzi in our room after a day of site seeing in Hershey.
Wonderful stay. Charm of 1825 with all modern amenities. Delicious breakfast too! Appreciate state if the art security system and attention to detail for safety such as lighting. Room extremely comfortable.
We looked for convenient and interesting accommodations for our trip to the annual Hershey car show and found this delightful B&B. We checked in a little later than normal hours but were warmly greeted by Don who gave us a tour of the common areas, checked on breakfast arrangements, then showed us our room. It is the little touches that make this inn special. Hershey kisses and York peppermint patties sitting out for the guests. Freshly made baked goods as a bedtime snack. And the best of all -- mugs on a waming tray for your morning coffee.
Wonderful B&B !! Everything that was promised on their website was delivered and much, much more. From the beautifully decorated interior, clean well-appointed rooms, and the warm greeting from one of the hosts at the beginning of our stay, we were welcomed into their home and we were treated like family. Our hosts, Don and Ellen, have certainly raised the bar for any of our expectations for a future B&B stay. Our room was clean and comfortable with well thought out accoutrements to make us feel welcomed. Our breakfast was exceptional, filling, and well presented. The hosts' attention to details throughout our stay was evident everywhere. We highly recommend the 1825 Inn if you are staying in the Hershey area. Eileen and John
