We stayed here for our sons 30th Birthday. It's close to Deadwood so we just drive down the mountain. We love the King Jacuzzi suite. This place is like a home away from home for us. I always ask for a glass of milk before bed and they never mind. Breakfast is always good.
I stayed New Years Eve. I messed up my reservation but the Front Desk Manager was able to quickly fix my error and get me a room. I was put in a room with a jetted bath tub in the room as well as the tub and sower in the bathroom.
The jetted tub had Not been cleaned since it's last use. There was soap scum in the bottom of the tub. The shower tub had a tampon wrapper in it.
This made me wonder just how clean the rest of my room was!!!
Would have appreciated a microwave and a lot more light in the room. We were just ahead of a cold front and enjoyed the warm blankets. Very convenient location and complete breakfast offerings. Breakfast began early--convenient for travelers.
My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn for one night mid-week in August. We had a comfortable bed, room and bath. We stayed on the top floor facing I-90 and the Black Hills. We had a refrigerator, microwave and good size TV. Our room was quiet. Breakfast was tasty. We had a variety of hot and cold items. The hotel is near the Spearfish Canyon Scenic byway and D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery. I would stay here again.
We spent two weeks here, one of which was during the Sturgis Rally. Needless to say the place was busy, but that didn't change the personal friendly service we experienced. When we needed something special, the folks were eager to help. I was recovering from a back injury and the front desk and housekeeping bent over backwards to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Jackson, the manager and Donna, our housekeeper, took time to engage in long conversations with us which made us feel so welcomed. We left having gained two real friends.
The bathroom was clean, the beds firm and comfortable (important to me with the back injury). The hot items at the buffet breakfasts were varied and all the food was fresh. There is a super Walmart across the street. Perkins restaurant, Applebees, Lucky's sports bar, and other restaurants are nearby. We ate many meals in the room or breakfast area using the microwave and refrigerator. The Inn is pet friendly. There are several great museums within a 15 minute drive. Don't miss the Spearfish Canyon for a scenic drive. There are several other pricier hotels nearby, but you don't have to spend the money to have a nice place to stay.
