I arrived for check-in around 7pm in the pouring rain to find a note taped to the front door apologizing for the broken ice machine. No fridge , no ice.. so my 2 gallons of Milo's tea and 3/4 # roast beef was ruined. The freight train passed within 200' of my room no less than 4 times that night, waking me every time. Needless to say, I canceled the remainder of my reservation there.
I did ask for a partial refund due to the spoiled groceries- but I was told I would need to argue and beg the manager if I wanted any reimbursement. Just forget it, it's not worth any more frustration.
I was set to stay in Nashville 4 nights then travel to Memphis for three nights, then on to Dallas, TX for the rest of my life. Had reservations in Motel 6 the entire time-- I cancelled everything after this crappy experience. I'll stay in a better room with a working fridge AND an ice machine, and no freight train, thanks!
