We booked to stay for half term week and travelled up on the Saturday. I had advised the park that we would be arriving about 9pm which they said went a problem. We actually arrived at 1130 pm due to bad weather. Reception had left a note directing us to our caravan and saying they'd see us in the morning. We found our caravan the heating had been put on the lights were on and everything was cosy.
Caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need. Location is lovely next to River Awe with a lovely walk beside it. The games room was brilliant with pool table, ping pong, magazines and books to borrow. There was also blue ray and DVDs to borrow. Kids play area was also excellent. Although we had a problem with the boiler which meant the hot water and heating kept going off the staff could not do enough to help and the issue was quickly corrected and had little impact to us. Thanks to the knowledge and recommendation of the managers we had some fantastic trips out:inverse smokehouse,TAYNUILT pier and many others. We all had a fantastic stay and we will definitely be coming back!
Great 2 night stay here in October 2019. We stayed in caravan H-6, which was a 2 bed Premier caravan. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Caravan was nice and toasty warm for us arriving. Really spacious. Double bedroom had an en-suite bathroom with shower as well as the separate shower/toilet in the hall. Dishwasher and blue-tooth speakers were added bonuses. Free wifi also included. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is a tiny bit of road noise however it didn't bother us at all and the road is really quiet at night time. Its around 14 miles drive to Oban so this caravan is a great base for exploring and days out. There is a fab play-park on site along with a games room & laundry area. Spar shop attached to the petrol station is handy for any essentials you may have missed! Brander Lodge restaurant/hotel is a 5min walk away although I would avoid the path by the river, its very narrow and really close to the water. Best stick to the main road, there is a verge you can walk along the full way. Bring a torch though. Overall we had a fantastic weekend away. Would definitely recommend 100%.
We stayed in early August for a weeks break using the hot tub as much as we could in the rain! This was a spacious and well kept lodge with all the facilities we needed, our boys had a room each and it was a great base to tour Oban from.
The Spar shop is just round the corner and the wee games room with a pool table and table tennis table is just enough to fill a bit of time at night. The staff are incredibly helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Stayed in a three bed Premier caravan it has an en-suite cloak room and a separate bathroom with shower. It was very comfortable and clean. A little road noise but nothing to stop your enjoyment. We used the caravan as a base to tour around. It was very good value for money and would highly recommend.
Stayed here for a long weekend on May 3rd in a premier caravan, got a last minute deal so price was good but wouldn't pay the full price they charge normally, Caravan itself was lovely and warm when we arrived and had just been fitted with a nice new carpet in living room, the owners were great and very helpful. I thought the £5.00 charge was a bit of a con considering what you are paying for the lodge and we were out most of the days. There was free Wi-Fi which we used and worked great. The location is good plenty to do round about. The little garage is very handy. The caravan is on a main road very noisy as the room are at the back, but after certain time was peaceful. Will definitely be booking again if a deal comes up.
