These apartments are close to the beach and have shops, restaurants and bars close by.
The apartments are secured with a locked entrance gate.
On arrival there was water and a lovely bottle of Cava in the fridge. There is also a safe for use in the bedroom. The rooms were cleaned every other day with fresh towels. Bed linen changed weekly.
Free WiFi is available on the ground floor. A WiFi hotspot system is available locally and can be purchased for approx £25 for seven days for three devices. Great value for money.
The swimming pool area and roof terrace are fab.
We had a great stay and we would recommend these apartments.
You get what you pay for. Basic but clean and order. These are apartments for those who want a calm stay, not a party place!. Nice pool with room for all guests. Very sensitively, you know if your neighbor is boiling eggs! Beds a bit too hard for my taste .
Location is excellent, close to shops and restaurants. And Bus stop(to any place at the island!) . The buses disturb some but the traffic is ok. A bottle of Cava on the table when we arrived - nice!
We stayed at the Apartmentos Karina in August having booked our holiday in late July. The price for four of us, two adults and two 15 year old girls was extremely competitive and reflected excellent value.
We arrived on a Thursday and were greeted by a friendly lady who checked us in swiftly and showed us to our apartment.
The room was very clean and overlooked an inviting pool and sun bed area. The room had two comfy single beds and a large useful wardrobe with plenty of hangers for clothes. There is also a safe in the room which we rented for 25 euros. It was worth doing for peace of mind, however I have to say that security was great in this building. To enter the property you need to have a key and this ensured only residents entered the pool and building areas.
The bathroom was a decent size and there was a good powerful shower that we made good use of after a day on the beach.
The lounge area had a comfy sofa bed and TV that offered a good range of channels.
The kitchen area was really handy and had a two ring hob that enabled me to cook for four easily. There was a good range of pots and pans, plates and glasses to use. Also, there was all the utensils and knives I needed to chop veg, open tins etc. We were able to eat easily at the apartment as there is a useful breakfast bar. Everything seemed to be well designed and thought out.
Outside was a balcony with chairs and and extending clothes drier, which we used daily.
The top floor of the apartments is a lovely sun terrace that is extremely clean and has about 15 sun beds. We used the terrace three times and we were the only people up there. It was great!
We met the owner and he was very pleasant and helpful. He cared about his guests and spoke to all of us respectfully. He organised a taxi for us for our return to the airport at 0430 using a company he trusted. The driver arrived on time and was very reasonably priced.
I was so impressed with this property that I will use this for all of our trips to Gran Canaria. We are already hoping to book in October.
This is a fantastically placed property that is a hidden gem for the British tourist to discover.
This was my first visit to Playa del Ingles and the Canary Islands.
I stayed at Karina for 14 days and had a very nice holiday.
Every thing at Karina is positive.
In the appartement it was a bottle of champagne to me as a welcome gift.
I stayed at 2nd floor and no one could see in to my balcony from outside the hotel or the street.
If I should say anything negative, it must be that it wasn`t WIFI at the room, but outside the office area, and the distance to the streets where most of the Norwegian restaurants was.
But with the cab it was under 4 Euro(33,-nok) to the right place.
The lady who made clean the room did an excellent job.
The pool was always clean and the areas around as well. The roof of the building has sunbeds for relaxing and a fantastic view over the area nearby.
For people who like short way to the beach is this a very good choice. The seafront was under 100m from the gate door. And lots of restaurants and shopping centre around only 150m from the gate door.
