Having stayed at the other two major hotels in Zamboanga over the years, we decided to now try the refurbished Marcian hotel. The rooms are of a very high standard, large with expensive fittings extremely comfortable. Little modern extras like doing away with a cardboard sign to hang on the doorknob , to make up the room, replaced by a switch inside the room which lights up outside. If anything the water in the bathroom was only luke warm. Rooms on the front of the hotel are extremely noisy due to the road just below. The service is very good generally and this will be our preferred hotel here from now on. Excellent swimming pool, but like most other restaurants they do not cater to the foreign tourist and the menu reflects this. Surprisingly that did not stock any tomato sauce (Ketchup) Complimentary Airport Pickup

This was a really bad hotel before, but now they're finished renovating it, it became one of the best hotels in Zamboanga City. It's just a little pricey.

The lobby is beautifully decorated. The room is neat, modern, and new. We just got the cheapest room but they did not really neglect decorating and maintaining it. I guess the more expensive rooms and suites are better. They have complimentary breakfast for 2. They also have a pool.

If you check in here to relax, I think this isn't really the place though. They host functions and events everyday. And if it's a wedding, you just expect a lot of people walking around and being noisy.

People opt to hold their events here because it's one of the newest and the nicest by far. So just expect a lot of people. But every time we have visitors, we recommend this place.

the hotel is classy decorated. the staff are friendly. ample parking space. swimming pool is small and shallow, good for kids only. at the resto, food are nicely presented, good to see only, but to eat, poor cooking technique and food quality, not worth the price.

This hotel has seen better days; outside looks deceiving. Facilities not well maintained. Toilet in the pool area dirty and smelly. Our room was not well-lit but relatively clean. Service terrible! Very inconvenient for guests with bulky and heavy baggage because: 1) cars can park in front of the main hotel doors so we had to park across the street to unload; 2) apathetic guard manning the front doors who told us that we can park and unload after the birthday party and the parked cars have left (what??!!); and 3) no elevators. Staff lack training on proper hotel manners: making noise in the corridor, not very guest-friendly, lazy... Airpot shuttle service not dependable and costs 100 pesos/pax for a 5-minute ride. Might as well take a tricycle since airport is just straight ahead and costs less than half this price. Room fronting the street noisy from traffic and videoke. The only advantage of this hotel is its close proximity to the airport.
