We had a great one bedroom condo overlooking Powell Street. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Furniture and linens are good. This is a great location for using public transportation to get around SF. Nob Hill is steep; however, the views are great.
There are no self-service guest laundry faculties on premises which would be nice when guests are staying several nights.
There is a fee for Wi-Fi.
Free newspaper daily.

I stay here frequently when in San Francisco - as one of my timeshare locations. I really love the location - three steep blocks up from Union Square (great exercise!) and easy walking distance to Chinatown. Saks, Neiman, and the largest Macys outside of New York are in Union Square. Lots of good restaurants nearby - especially a cafe a couple of blocks down. SF has great public transport and Powell Place accesses most of it. It's on the cable car run. Buses run a block away very frequently and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable for directions. Parking is SF expensive - uber or lyft is a better bet.

The kitchen is really a full kitchen and there is a nearby small shop. If you are serious about cooking, there is a supermarket several blocks away but I just like having coffe and something for breakfast in the room and storing and reheating whatever I've picked up. This is the only place I've ever stayed where they provide coffee and filters for your long stay.

Two items to note. The studio is generally two separate rooms - the kitchen is really separate which is nice when one person sleeps in and the other is an early bird. But many of the studios are walkups - one side of the building has an elevator and one side does not. The one bedroom is utterly wonderful and the pullout sofa is very comfortable for one person . However, the bathroom is in the bedroom, which does present some awkward possibilities. I think all the one bedrooms are on the side with the elevator.

Powell Place condo was clean and near Union Square downtown. Its better than a hotel room with extra conveniences. Steps from Cable Car Powell St line, which may be noisy for some. The location is almost impossible to find street parking. Valet park is $40/day but you may not need a car. See downtown, North Beach using bus, cab, etc. Cable car goes to the Wharf. Get car to for a day to go outside downtown. The Landmark Westin St. Francis Hotel is nearby for a cocktail or elegant meal. The Mark Hopkins Hotel has a bar with city views that opens about 5pm. The Fairmont Hotel [across from The Mark] has The Tonga Room with great Mai Tai's and a tropical lagoon setting. Dinners are pricey. Go for a cocktail before 7pm. Shopping Union Square. Some mile+ West are Boutiques, Art Galleries on Union St from Van Ness Ave to Steiner St. S.F. is my hometown 32 years. Now I visit, still love it.

Studio condo was large enough for two people with a small 2 burner kitchenette. Cooked breakfast daily. Room was dated but very clean. Daily maid service. No amenities or activities. No view from most rooms. Location is excellent. In the heart of things and right on the trolley line. Caught the trolley almost at the front door. I would definitely return. Service was average.. Most (BUT not all) of the staff were helpful and pleasant.
