If you are a hotel you cannot advertise a pool and then have it closed all the time. This is unfair. This place was clean but clearly just a two star hotel. The staff was friendly. I don't know if it was a miscommunication but I was there three days and I never got new towels and I don't think a maid was in my room the whole time.

I was here for a week as part of training at the Federal Bldg a block away. The hotel was booked because of the training. The kitchenette was equipped with a 2 burner stove top, a small full sized refrigerator with one ice tray, a small sink (my stopper was missing in the kitchen as well as the bathroom) and a microwave. They do not stock the kitchenette with dishes or pans, coffeemaker or toaster. I called ahead of time to see what they had and was told it would be dependent on what checking out guests turned in! I had to ask for a coffeemaker and toaster which I got the next days. I was rationed one set of silverware, one plate and a bowl. It seems ridiculous that a hotel that markets itself as place for people to stay multiple days would have such sparse amenities. I've never stayed in a hotel before that didn't come with a coffee maker. They do have coffee in the lobby but no hot water for tea.

There was insufficient hot water the first day. When asked about it, the clerk said the boiler had been repaired. The doors of the rooms are very loud when closed and you can hear them opening constantly down the hall. I could hear people walking around their room at 2am. Ask for a top floor room.

There are no restaurants within a short walking distance. There is a Kerrs grocery store opened until 2am about a 1/2 mile away .

They also don't clean your rooms for the entire week, only if you stay there for 8 days. I believe you can request services tho. The temp was bumped up to 80 degrees, way too hot for December. I found the bed comfortable. Only has one night stand. The chair takes the place where another one would go. For one person, it was fine. For two people, not so good as there is no light on the other side of the bed either. The alcove for your suitcase is too small for a large suitcase, I had to move the ironing board out of the way to make it fit. No hangers. The pool was closed for repairs which I found disappointing since as was staying there for a week.

Also, pool restroom, had no toilet paper and an empty kleenex box. There were 11 of of staying there. Some found the rooms unclean and moved to another room. Some found beds sheets had not been changed. Moved 3 times. And worst of all, there is no manager onsite on weekends! Deck staff could do nothing and would not call the manager. Terrible place.

It was surprisingly quite. Room was comfortable and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Would be better if you did not have to request dishes etc and if they had an ice machine. Their breakfast was nothing to get excited about, cheap coffee, oatmeal packets, and pre-packaged muffins. Over all worth what I paid for.

My wife and I have stayed at hundreds of hotels throughout the years, believe me when I tell you to save your money. Here is a brief list of some of the noteable issues we had. We are also people that don't generally complain.

Here we go:

Hair in fridge
No toilet paper
Phone is broken - can't call out
No dish soap or stopper for sink
Floor is disgusting
Chair at table looks gross (put a towel on it as it was so nasty)
1 towel
Dirty plates and silverware ( when we asked for fresh stuff customer service was like they weren't like that originally) anyway...moving on. No ice or ice cube tray - need to buy your own.
Pool is just a little larger than the size of a hot tub and you need to bring your own towels
Bedding is brutal - one sheet and one small blanket
All of the appliances we needed to go downstairs and bring up to our room ourselves were horrible quality. Handle on pan was loose. Toaster smoke when you try to make toast.

Anyway folks - I think you get my point. Save your money. Customer service is beyond brutal. Will never stay at an extended stay hotel ever again even if it was free.
