Date of stay: December 2019Trip type: Travelled on business
I was here for a week as part of training at the Federal Bldg a block away. The hotel was booked because of the training. The kitchenette was equipped with a 2 burner stove top, a small full sized refrigerator with one ice tray, a small sink (my stopper was missing in the kitchen as well as the bathroom) and a microwave. They do not stock the kitchenette with dishes or pans, coffeemaker or toaster. I called ahead of time to see what they had and was told it would be dependent on what checking out guests turned in! I had to ask for a coffeemaker and toaster which I got the next days. I was rationed one set of silverware, one plate and a bowl. It seems ridiculous that a hotel that markets itself as place for people to stay multiple days would have such sparse amenities. I've never stayed in a hotel before that didn't come with a coffee maker. They do have coffee in the lobby but no hot water for tea.
There was insufficient hot water the first day. When asked about it, the clerk said the boiler had been repaired. The doors of the rooms are very loud when closed and you can hear them opening constantly down the hall. I could hear people walking around their room at 2am. Ask for a top floor room.
There are no restaurants within a short walking distance. There is a Kerrs grocery store opened until 2am about a 1/2 mile away .
They also don't clean your rooms for the entire week, only if you stay there for 8 days. I believe you can request services tho. The temp was bumped up to 80 degrees, way too hot for December. I found the bed comfortable. Only has one night stand. The chair takes the place where another one would go. For one person, it was fine. For two people, not so good as there is no light on the other side of the bed either. The alcove for your suitcase is too small for a large suitcase, I had to move the ironing board out of the way to make it fit. No hangers. The pool was closed for repairs which I found disappointing since as was staying there for a week.
Room Tip: Ask for a top floor to minimize noise, Ask for kitchen stuff each day until you get what you...
