We stayed here overnight both ways on a road trip from the UK to Italy. We chose this one as it lies close to the border of Switzerland and was reasonably priced.
We went with our 3 children and our friends with their 2 children. The hotel could not accommodate our larger family with a room to fit 5, so we had to book two rooms.
The rooms were all basic with small bathrooms which had seen better days, with patches of mould around the tiles. The air con in one room, although working, left a puddle on the floor by the bedroom door which we had to be careful not to slip on.
None of the shower heads in any of the rooms would sit on their holders, so we could only shower by hand. The water was hot though, so it wasn't all bad.
On our return trip, my husband and son's room smelt strongly of cigarettes and there were dirty towels on the floor. On complaining, his room was changed immediately and although it was apparent that they were given another smoking room, at least this one appeared cleaner. The hotel was full, with an abundance of tradesmen staying whilst working on site nearby. We were the only families.
Our friends stated that their ground floor room offered a loud clanging noise every twenty minutes throughout the night, which they thought may be connected to the air con, but were unsure.
The evening receptionist however was accommodating and when we asked to put our bottles of water in the fridge, she was happy to help. The other positive was that there was free WiFi.
As it was just a one night stopover each way, we accepted the hotel for what it was - a bed for the night. It is in the middle of an industrial estate with a Lidl and a KFC close by.
We did not feel inclined to stay for breakfast on either visit and sadly do not feel inclined to re-book with Enzo Hotels in anytime soon.
