This place is by far one of the worst places I've ever stayed at. To begin with it's way over priced, rooms are tiny and you don't even get a private shower. No WIFI in our room although they advertised it. To top it all off we didn't have any water in our room. No one told us when we payed and booked in. They actually expected us to walk about about 200m to another building to have a shower. The manager explained that its due to their "old school" watering system. We had no choice of what breakfast to have, we were told scrambled eggs, toats, mushrooms, beans and bacon. However there were no bacon and no butter for our toast.

Absolutely shocking
Avoid this place at all costs.
You'd be better off sleeping in your car.

We had to stay a night over in Harrismith and chose Sir Harry's based on convenience and few Google reviews.
We were charged an extortionate rate of R850 for one night. The room feels like a glamorous prison cell. It looks nothing like the photos. The towels were dirty. There is no en suite bathroom as advertised, but only a wash closet and open shower in the room. No ventilation for the shower, mould on the roof. The shower warm water ran out after 3 minutes. The sink taps do not have a gap between the sink bowl, so you can't get your hands under them.
The bed is a slab of foam. You'd be better off sleeping on your own jumper.
The furniture is vile and dilapidated.
There is no heating or air conditioning.
Teabags and coffee sachets are provided, but no milk! It is as if they are trying to grab a horrible review. Want to complain on site? Or need some assistance? You can't. There is no 24hr reception or phone in the room. We feel like we would've saved money and been more comfortable sleeping in my car, which is a hatchback Hyundai lunch box. We would have at least been warm!

Total items falsely advertised and not supplied:
1. Private bathroom
2. Free Wifi (needs to be purchased at reception)
3. Heating

I flagged this to the reception, who contacted the owner. I was promised a refund the next week. I have not received a refund yet and they have stopped responding to my emails. Shocking service and appalling integrity just compounds the bad experience here.

A nice, clean and quiet lodge to stay there for a night. Nothing to do, but to have a sleep. The lounge is very cosy and clean. the room is also clean. Good and cosy buthroom. The service is good: we wanted to change our room and accepted immediately.

We arrived on a very cold night, but the heaters had already been switched on in the rooms. My bed was huge, but comfortable and warm. The room was spacious and had a small kitchenette in it for self catering. Outside there was game in the field next door, but the gardens were very bleak. There didn't seem to be any other guests staying on the night we were there. Reception could have been more welcoming, and the dining room was closed up.
