The room was incredible, the pool was perfect, and the restaurant was delicious. I will definitely be back. We actually added an additional night just because we loved the place so much. Centrally located to many Tuscan destinations like Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano and more.
We stayed at Bosco della Spina for about a week in early July while visiting relatives nearby. The staff was amazing and we had a wonderful experience. The buildings and the grounds are so beautiful and charming. A real authentic Tuscan experience. The breakfast was light and healthy and a perfect way to start each day. The restaurant is amazing, with delicious fresh local food, great wine that they make themselves with grapes from their own vineyards and a view of the hilltop hamlet of Murlo in the distance. After each day of touring the countryside, we relaxed with a refreshing dip in their infinity pool that looks out over the same picturesque view. We highly recommend Bosco della Spina as a fantastic place to enjoy the heart of Tuscany.
I loved loved loved Tuscany and his beautiful property! Our friends parents live in Vescovado, the small town about 5-10 minute walk from this property (grocery store and pharmacy available there). Also super close to the cute and tiny Murlo where the chocolate Ganache was sooo freaking good!
We had a great duplex apartment with a bed for our 4 year old and crib for 16 month old (had to pay extra for that per day). Kitchenette was well equipped wish it came with basic spices. The view from our terrace was to die for! The shower was a tad bit small, im 5’11 average weight and knocked my elbows around a bit. The breakfast was pretty boring, you’d be better off getting fresh bread and stuff in Vescovado. Pool was small but great after a long days sightseeing. Theres a free cleaning for i think every 4 days of stay but the staff always came to take our trash and see if we needed anything else. There are two parking lots, one by the restaurant and one below so no issues with parking.
This would be a 5 star review however there were little kinks here and there like broken door knob that kept falling, and broken chair. The wi-fi here sucks!! If you need the internet to stay alive this part of Tuscany is not for you. We had major issues getting on and staying on. We needed it mostly to communicate with anxious grandmas in the US.
(About 2 hrs drive from Pisa, sienna and Florance. I think 3-4 to get to Rome) our
Our family and friends stayed at Bosco della Spina over Easter holidays. The location is beautiful and convenient for trips to Siena, Montalcino, Buonconvento, etc. The apartments are spacious and well equipped. There is a good size swimming pool, which can be used all year round thanks to a roll up roof. Hospitality was second to none so it was easy for us to feel like home. If I were to find any drawback, I'd say that breakfasts were a bit monotonous, especially if you stay more than 3-4 nights. Overall a very pleasant stay and good value for money. I recommend it.
We had a short and very nice stay. Rooms are apartment type with small kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Everything was clean. We were not interupted by anybody during the stay which is a big plus. The pool is nice, it's quite small but never crowded. The only downside is a very small TV. But you don't come in Toscany to watch TV :-) And yes, the bed is very nice and big.
