We booked a long week end at the last minute and everything was fully booked in the area of Salou. We found this camping and decided to give it a shot even if we read mixed reviews .
Check in was fast, the parcel was clean and with a lot of shade. The kids loved the pool and the girls doing the activities.
At night time it was quiet.
Showers/bathroom were cleaned every time we visited them.
We are not the camping type , the last time we went camping it was 5 years ago but as a family it was great the kids loved it! For 2 nights it was fine.
Regarding the complains on the mosquitos, this is Spain in summer . We live in BCN and we also have mosquitos. We put a mosquito repellent and we were not bitten at all during the 2 nights.
Very convenient if you visit Portaventura , 5 minutes away by car.
hi after mixed reviews about this 4 star hotel . I have to say me and my hubby.(over 50,s) have just spent 11 days at this hotel all inclusive and it has been great , the staff were friendly , polite and most of the time jolly ,the food was great something for everyone (especially as we are not great sea food fans) the resort was lovely along with the pool which we spent a lot of time in .The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned .
Not too keen on the entertainment , but it is a family hotel after all , la pineda itself is a busy little sea side area with lots of free evening entertainment along the sea front and just a few minutes away from the hotel the weather was lovely very hot so all in all great !!!!loved it .
5 adults & 3 kids shared two of the lodge type chalets. Very cramped, very dated and shabby, but clean. One of the kids beds collapsed, but was repaired by maintenance man.
Shower/toilet block was ok if you got there shortly after it was cleaned, if not it was truly hideous! Can't comment on the pool as we didn't use it.
The chalet was small and dark, and even with all the windows & doors open it was like an oven - the heat plus the constant noise throughout the night made it impossible to sleep.
Breakfasts were good - croissants, pain au chocolat, doughnuts, cheese/ham crusty rolls, coffee, tea, juice.
The chalets look out onto camping areas with caravans & tents. Some of the people appeared to be living there - lines and lines of washing, even a fridge freezer outside (?!?!) Hence it was like staying in a traveller site!
The only place to dry towels etc was to hang them over the veranda - warning - beach towels were stolen.
All in all, it was cheap site that we chose because it was close to Port Aventura, and we got what we paid for!
This is a nice and clean campsite with shadowed plots which are not well limited by hedges. The spaces are rather small but they are enough for a caravan/tent and a car. The zone is a bit noisy because there are several factories nearby, but we slept well.
There are several toilet blocks which are cleaned regularly. The problem is that the water system might be rather old and it took ages to have hot water.
Front desk people were really nice and helpful and they allowed us leaving our car in the inside parking the last day.
We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked nice.
The price was good and we had Internet connection.
