The hotel is rather pricey in all respects. Ill kept premises. One could notice pools of water accumulated at various corners which were breeding ground for mosquitoes. But the location of the hotel is advantageous, it is quite near to Sriniketan. Our room was tidy and the bathroom was clean, one could always get running hot water. But the driver's room was horribly dirty and so was his toilet. The staff was indifferent and suggested him to compromise. So if you are taking your car and looking for driver's accommodation (which is charged) better be careful.
Had heard good stuff about this place so went there with a 1 night booking. Now I Thank God we went ONLY with a 1 night booking. Otherwise, would sure have had to run away the next morning anyway. Every aspect of this hotel reeks of "no maintenance" - can't understand which part to highlight more. And yes, DEFINITELY not worth the money they charge. Poor room service too.
Hillarious price for the accommodation.
Un-professional staff. Extremely rude and misbehaving owner when you try to explain the issues.
We booked (online) a suite with food at an extremely high price (in February 2017). Of course, it was expected to be the best of the best. Unfortunately, the room was not really a suite. There was a door connected to the suite which we did not have any access of. Also, we were not allowed to lock the main door (of the suite) but only the bedroom ''for their easy access''. We requested to change our room to a normal one and it was such a struggle! That room at least had a secured door. All the rooms that we were taken to were extremely stinky and damp and had tons of mosquitoes.
The food that we were served for lunch the same day was not great. The vegetables were not fully cooked and not to forget the tomatoes in the chutney were still frozen.
Long story short, we had booked this trip for 3 nights but had to leave right after the first night. We never got any money back.
It was supposed to be our honeymoon! What a surprise!
We, 33 couples and 2 individuals totaling 70 heads, spent 3 nights in this resort to celebrate our 50 years of friendship. Beautiful bungalows equipped with all modern facilities connected by covered cemented walkways are spread across a huge area. Well maintained lawns surrounded by flower plants. Even if it is located on a very busy road but inside your room no sound is audible which means you can have a sound slip. It has one restaurant which could accommodate about 50 heads at one time. There is one banquet hall with a permanent stage which could easily accommodate 100 heads. Staffs are very friendly. Food quality is very good.
I guess the headline says it all! This was probably a good place once upon a time but now all that's left of that are damp and soggy rooms, stained bedsheets, smelly blankets, broken taps, heaters that do not work, room kettles that do not work and mosquitos aplenty!
We went on the recommendation of a friend who admittedly had stayed there many years back and could not believe the delapidated condition we told him about!
The only bright spot in an otherwise horrible one night stay was the hotel staff who kept working with a smile on their face even as one irate client after another told them off!
Never order room service. A pot of tea arrived after one hour, 2 plates of vegetable pakoras arrived 1.5 hours after the order, after three reminders and even having to call up the resort director.
Lunch and dinner should be ordered at least half a day in advance if you are at a premium for time. It took 2.5 hours after the order for the meal to get ready. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 8am but even at 8.45 am all the buffet counters were empty and we left the hotel on an empty stomach.
Don't book a stay here even if it's the only place with vacancies in the whole city.
