I booked a room at TJ's based on recommendations and was really looking forward to staying here. However, being that we booked a suite room, we were told this was located in another hotel which he was associated with being Hotel Deniz (see review). TJ should have made us aware upon booking and disclosed the fact that we would not be staying at this hotel, so we could have made an informed decision and changed the room type if we were not happy changing hotels.

Enjoyed my second trip to Gallipoli over October/November 2018. I spent about 16 days at TJs Hotel in Eçeabat, which was my second stay at the Hotel (my first being for about a week in 2016).

I have nothing but praise for TJ and his wonderful staff. They kept my room clean, my belly full and my days both busy and exciting. TJs depth of knowledge with regard to the Gallipoli campaign in 1915 is phenomenal. His tours of the battlefields are informative, interesting and very moving. He creates a very personal feel when presenting the history of the battle, and presents both sides of the story when speaking of the struggle between the Turks and the Allies.

I was also fortunate enough to be taken on tour by TJ to Troy, Assos, Pergamon, Ephesus and Kuşadası. TJ assembled a team of very knowledgeable guides who knew each site in intimate detail, and my mind was blown by the things I was able to see and feel. I walked away from those tours in awe of the history of this amazing country. Turkey is a patchwork of so many different cultures, so many influences over the millennia, and each civilisation has left their mark on the country. And TJ was able to show me all of it, and yet I am still determined to return to see more still.

Thank you TJ and team for a most memorable trip, and you’ll be sure to see me again soon!

We stayed here one night. It was really big, clean and comfy room which we had. The staff were also so helpful and kind. The breakfast was open-buffet and with variety. The location was also so near to ferry and city center. I really liked the hotel, I definetly stay there again.

big room, big bathroom, friendly staff, i only stayed one night but it would've been a good deal to stay a little longer, the breakfast was decent, keep in mind it's a small hostel, not many rooms, it has it's own parking.
