We had taken two cottages. In general , I should say they have to improve a lot on housekeeping aspects. Room & bath room cleaning were not up to the mark when we checked-in . In one cottage, we had to change the whole of bed sheets , pillows and re-spread with better ones. The extra beds provided were also untidy. There was no shampoo in the bathroom and only one bath towel was given to each cottage. The phone in the room was dead and every time we had to go to the far away reception area to request for solution to each issue. The management( esp. Vijay) was very cordial on the other hand. He was very much co-operative and down to earth. But he could not solve house keeping & other technical issues to our complete satisfaction. But he was quite liberal and helpful to help us get tickets for the jungle safari. He also gave the resort vehicle and driver to go to the nearby irupu water falls in Karnataka(near Kutta).
In short we have mixed feelings. The hard facts stay intact. But the hospitality was great.
We 8 People (Medical Industry) from different part of kerala arranged a Bullte trip to waynad and Night Destination was this resort.
Rs.1000 they charged individually.
And alloted only 2 rooms for 8 people.
2 over the bed and 2 in floor in each room..!!
They offerd Camp fire and Music.. Nothing happen.
Its just a road side cottages, Not at all a resort kind ambiance. Breakfast was just below avg. And there were no items as per they promised earlier.
Finally, we really Shocked after seeing the food bill.
Pls have a look at it. Uploaded here....
We usually having food from all * category hotels.. we never seen a bill like this.
A below Avg Cottage rooms, Not Ideal for Family (No Time pass Areas, Game Zone..) Not Ideal for bachelors too.
Bordering Coorg, it is strategically located close to Nagarhole national park, Irippu water falls and Kuruva island. Reasonable place to stay for young folks (old and disabled will have a tough time here as the walkway down is quite steep).
Clean room and washroom
Comfortable bed for 3 people to sleep.
Lush surroundings and a cool walk especially in the morning from 6 to 8 AM
Reasonable food quality (We could order the basic South Indian menu but not sure of other options)
The not so good:
Insects in the room, had to get cleaned before using it
Had to ask for extra set of pillows and mattress cover for an additional person in the room
Guests subjected to a night safari at 9:30 PM and food served only after the safari is completed.
Hot room with no AC
Somewhat pricey (1350 rupees per person including dinner and breakfast)
We were 32 members who visited this place and each and every person just fell in love to this wonderful resort.
It is a resort in a 4 acre coffee estate.
The best place to be away from all work.
*****Best Food Ever Had and a well arranged campfire place with rain dance.
******Well maintained resort.
None of us ever had any kind of complaints.
We had a worst night mare experience in Wild Life Resort. Below are some of the points:
1. There was no soap, towel, water in the room and even we didnt get after three requests.
2. Rooms were very suffocating, no A/C, no fresh air inside.
3. No spoons on the table during lunch and had to request three times.
4. Food was not in sufficient quantity.
5. Breakfast buffet was served differently to different guests.
6. Tea served was not good.
7. Swimming pool is full of algae, fungi, bacteria and stinking badly.
8. Though the resort is in forest but no guard on the entrance door.
9. Lots of insects but no insect repellents outside the doors.
Overall experience- Very Poor=Terrible
Will recommend to anyone= Never
