We've just returned from a week's stay at Villa del Mar in one of their studio suites. I have to say that our stay was fantastic and Villa del Mar more than exceeded our expectations. While it is not located directly on the beach it is right behind Grace Bay Club with an easy walk to the beach past Grace Bay Club's Grill and their pool area. Grace Bay Club has a sandal rack where we left our sandals each day when we went to the beach. Once you get to the beach you have about a 100 foot walk to their designated beach chairs where their employees will get you set up on beach chairs with umbrellas. Right next to Grace Bay Club is Ocean Club West and some of their rooms were within 30 feet of Villa Del Mar's pool so their walk to the beach would be almost as far.
Villa Del Mar has 3 or so room types with the smallest being the studio suites which have only a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, full size coffee maker and a refrigerator. They also have 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites which include a full kitchen. I believe though that the 3 bedroom suites are a 2 bedroom suite with a studio attached. All the rooms have washers and dryers and they include soap. The studio has a full size tub and also a separate shower. They have 3 buildings of rooms. We stayed in room C302 which also had a partial ocean view. I'm not sure if many of the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor would have any kind of ocean view and some of the 3rd floor rooms would also not have a view but all of the 4th floor rooms would it seems.
Included is a continental type breakfast which includes mini pastries, chocolate croissants, plain bagels, english muffins and some bread for toasting and boxes of cereal. There are oranges and there may or not have bananas (mostly not). They have coffee, hot water, orange and apple juice. If you are on a low carb diet look elsewhere for breakfast. The breakfast runs from 7:30 to 9:30.
The Grill at Grace Bay Club has a breakfast buffet which is $38.
It was almost always very quiet at Villa del Mar. Nobody really used the pools or hot tub after 9pm. If you have a car parking is in the rear near to the elevators for the 3 buildings.
I wish I remembered the names of the employees but I found everyone to be pleasant and more than helpful.
There are plenty of restaurants within about a 15 minute walk including Coco Bistro which I would advise everyone to eat at during their stay in Provo.
We walked by or through all of the resorts up to Seven Stars and for the price I would definitely stay there again.

Clean rooms, all have balconies facing a pool (two). Access road to beach is less than a block walk. Having towels/umbrellas/water available there from dedicated concierge was helpful. Was NOT crowded on beach (windy some days) and we were always able to have a front row chair. Staff are friendly. Easily walkable to tons of restaurants. Very nicely maintained grounds. Happy Hour at hotel in afternoon and light breakfast (breads, fruit, cereal) daily. Ran out of pool towels one day, but otherwise a terrific place.

Villa Del Mar is across a narrow lightly traveled street in Provo from the deluxe Grace Bay Club. This location is what makes it a good value. To access Grace Bay Beach a VdM guest takes an easy walk across the little street and through the beautiful Grace Bay Club and down onto the beach where the VdM beach service staff, Kerone and Lerone have chaises, umbrellas, towels, ice water and big smiles.
Drinks and/or lunch may be ordered right to your chaise from Ocean Club West, the nextdoor property.
Or, simply stroll back through gorgeous landscaped paths to VdM and your own unit.
The pool is very nicely kept, the tiki bar and grills for guest use are right there poolside. Itā€™s rare to have barbecue grills at Provo resorts and we enjoy grilling a great filet from IGA Graceway Gourmet market, just up the road.
A studio suite is ample for a couple or small family.
The patio or balcony is spacious with nice furniture.
Only downside to us were mosquitoes on our balcony - they arenā€™t screened, so we didnā€™t use it much.
Continental breakfast is served from the tiki bar and while simple, itā€™s a nice amenity.
Front desk staff are cheerful and friendly.

Read several reviews that complained about the cleanliness of the facility and less than happy staff. But there were enough good reviews that I booked here anyway. Front desk staff was pleasant, helpful and accomodating. Same for Breakfast and cleaning staff. Room was acceptable and included a washer/dryer combo complete with laundry detergent. Towels were plentiful and in near new condition. Sheets on the bed were so thin they almost only had one side and were nubby. Were changed only once during the 7 days of our stay. AC was one of these high wall units and took a couple days to figure out the symbols on the remote. After that it functioned okay.

Breakfast was included and was the usual Continental package. Small pastry, English muffin, Bagels, Toast, Cereal, Coffee and juices. Also had yogurt and Banana bread and fresh fruit.

About a quarter-mile to the beach which is accessed through the next door resort property. When you hit the Beach turn left and go a short distance to the Villa beach desk. There you will have lounge chairs and all the towels you need. Never had a problem with either during our stay. Attendant very pleasant and helpful. Water is provided there and you can get food and drink delivered.

I've been coming to Villa del Mar yearly for over 10 years, so it pains me to write this review. In the past 4-5 years a change in the property manager has caused a noticeable decline in the condition of the property and attitudes of the staff. What was once a friendly, clean property that had incredible value for the money is now a property in disrepair that is run by a staff of people who have not been properly trained in hospitality. Upon check-in last week I noticed that the air conditioning in my unit was not working and a very strong smell of mold was present. I contacted the front desk before unpacking and it took 1.5 hours of negotiation to finally be moved to a different unit. This unit was not without problems either. The second unit had a kitchen faucet that could be lifted out of the granite and the water didn't come out of the faucet head properly. Tile was missing grout, the floors were filthy dirty, sliding glass doors smeared with handprints and a film and several of the light fixtures weren't working. The pool area had tile missing, there were sacks of garbage sitting out back of the buildings and the parking area was littered with cigarette butts and bottle tops. The highlight of the property was the beach staff who always made sure there were towels and chairs for the guests. Housekeeping staff was very friendly, but obviously did not mop our floors even once during our week long stay as our feet got dirty walking from the bathroom to the bedroom.

I can understand that COVID has presented a number of challenges with serving buffets, but you now have to fill out a form the previous day if you would like to pick up a continental breakfast each morning. It's always been very sparse at best, but it is now just down right disgusting and inconvenient. I asked the property manager to see other room categories and it took 2 days before they opened some rooms for us to just walk through.

Two units below me, a family of four played loud music, let their children jump into the hot top covered in sand and generally acted as though the property was their own. We aske if management could assist with the noise problem and they simply said, "oh, that's happening again?"

To get a fair property comparison, I stopped by two other local properties within a similar price range without an appointment. I was greeted by management, provided a tour and made to feel welcome. The properties were well maintained inside and out and appeared very quiet. That was all I needed to cancel my reservation and book elsewhere on my upcoming stay.

We booked this as it seemed to be perfectly located (almost on Grace Beach) and very good value for money - and we couldnā€™t have been happier with our choice! The rooms are spacious, well maintained, fastidiously clean and well appointed - and it seems that most of them overlook the pool. The layout of the property gives it the feeling of being a small & boutique property, with your own private pool. Perhaps this changes when the hotel is more full, but it felt so much nicer than many of the bigger resorts on Grace Bay. The rooms are located in a collection of separate buildings, spread around the pool, but each has its own entrance from the car park and each has a lift, so perfectly easy access with luggage, etc. We only stayed for one night and, when we returned to Provo at the end of our week in TCI, we should have gone back there for our final night. Instead, we made the big mistake of staying at a neighbouring property - and regretted every second of it. Villa del Mar was soooooo much better.

Grace Bay is clearly a very popular place to be in Providenciales and the resort and villa pricing definitely match that. We booked Villa del Mar after looking at a lot of the fancier resort options and thought this would meet our needs and I am pleased to report they were totally met! We stayed a week in a smaller studio room which includes a large sitting room and a kitchenette. The larger rooms have a full kitchen which can be really valuable for a longer stay since the cost of eating out can add up.

The set up is like an outdoor apartment style set up with a large free parking area around the side of the hotel and independent access on the outside (or up stairs or elevators) to your rooms. There is a lovely two pool, hot tub, and cute little tiki bar set up which I think most of the rooms actually face. It was a treat to be able to dash out of your room and hop right in the pool. There is a small independent building that serves as the front desk and office which you use to check in, turn in your breakfast slips, and ask questions, etc.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The cleaning staff did a great job of wiping up after our sandy feet. The beach attendants were helpful at making sure you were taken care of with plenty of towels, water, and drinks to order (and of course setting you up with chairs and umbrellas if you needed something that wasn't set up). I found having a fridge and microwave really handy for snacks and re-heating leftovers. We even discovered they two grills for you to use! Really handy for grilling up some dinner.

Breakfast isn't extensive, but if you don't mind a hot coffee and bagel to start your day you'll do just fine. It also isn't a resort that provides a lot of water equipment (snorkels, paddle board etc.) so you do have to rent those things but it was totally fine since there are so many tour and rental places near by.

Also the location is really lovely! The beach is across the street (wander across the street and follow the Grace Bay hotel path). The grocery store is a 7 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) and many of the trendy/popular restaurants and coffee shops are a 10-15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) away. You don't even need to rent a car since everything is walkable from here. Renting a car is of course a great option so you can drive around the island and explore things like chalk sound, bight reef, Omar's, and kayaking to Iguana island.

Overall a great place to stay and totally met all of my expectations,

Stayed at the Villa del Mar for 6 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. One bedroom had a king size bed, comfortable and the second bedroom had a queen bed. Living room had a pull out sofa. Only wish that there were 2 bathrooms. (room b204) Kitchen was fully equipped, offering oven, stove, toaster, microwave and a full size refrigerator. A continental breakfast was included, consisted of english muffins bagels, chocolate croissants, packages of hot cereal and tons of choices of cold cereal. Also coffee, orange juice, tea bags and hot chocolate packages. The three
minute walk to the beach was no problem. I would definitely save here again considering the difference in price from the Ocean Club west that was between us and the ocean.

Hotel was clean, rooms were fairly modern and had a nice little kitchenette. The pool and hot tub were also nice, and the walk to the beach was short. The hotel provided beach and pool towels, which they would change put upon request. Ground were well kept, and it was a short walk to ice cream shops and restaurants.

The continental breakfast was simple but adequate, and was a nice thing to have each day, given how expensive groceries/food are in Turks and Caicos.

The shampoo and conditioner provided did not agree with out hair, but might work well for others. There is a small pool bar, which also provided cold water during the hours it was open.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The one minor thing that I will mention is that our housekeeper, who cleaned our room daily, mentioned that if we did not provide the tip directly to her, it would be split among other cleaning staff who did not clean our room. I donā€™t know if that is true, but if so, it does not seem right to me, as she worked hard to keep our room very clean.

Pros
1. The beach (short walk)
2. Hotel location
3. Weather amazing every day
4. Grocery store close by ( ten min walk)
5. Hotel pools ( shallow for kids and non swimmers)
6. Restaurants walking distance

Cons
1. Hotel dated ( so tired looking)
2 . Service by cleaning staff ( room floors never sept,
Items in room ( coffee filter, laundry detergent, kitchen towel, do not disturb sign, paper towels, Kleenex never replenished.
Always had to constantly ask for things every single day. They would lightly knock at your door to clean your room at 8am or 3pm. No consistency of when your room is cleaned and sometimes donā€™t clean it all when you have been gone all day.
3. Pots and pans so old everything burns on them
4. Water from tub tap came out brown on first day.
5. Groceries at supermarket very expensive
6. Sand flies ( on beach and mosquitoes at night)

This hotel has so much potential. It definitely needs renovations and more attentive staff to make it more of an enjoyable experience. ( Iā€™m referring to cleaning staff and front desk)

If you are staying here;

Bring bug spray
Bring oil, salt, pepper, hot sauce, honey, dish soap,
dish sponge if youā€™re going to be cooking as they are not provided with kitchen.
Wear your flip flops or socks in the room as floors are filthy.
Keep towel under main door to prevent bugs from entering as there is a gap.
Donā€™t drink the tap water. Buy a case of water at the grocery store or bring a water container to fill it up from the hotels two water stations.
