Nestled on a prime beachfront, the Alexandra Resort is celebrated for its cleanliness, with guests consistently commending the spotless rooms and immaculate beach. Though the rooms receive mixed reviews, ranging from spacious and well-appointed to somewhat dated, the stunning views often compensate.
The service garners acclaim for its attentive and friendly staff, but not without occasional slow service hiccups. While some guests highlight the lively atmosphere and praise the comprehensive amenities, opinions on value for money and the need for modernization reveal room for enhancement.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our third trip since 2019 to the Alexandra Resort in Grace Bay. As usual, we had a fantastic time. The water is crystal clear, the soft white sand on the beach is always clean and free of seaweed or algae and the smaller scale of the resort is more appealing to us than some larger resorts we have stayed at in the past. Despite the smaller footprint, options for food, beverages and entertainment are exceptional.
Kids:
While this resort welcomes families with kids, the resort is not centered around entertaining them. The attraction for us and most adults is the pristine beach, though they also have a nice pool and a small jungle gym on the interior of the resort. I can't say I have ever used the pool because the beach is perfect for swimming laps or just floating in the cool waters.
Food:
Food is marvelous and the options get better with every vacation we take there. You'll never go hungry. Resort choices are plentiful.
"The Fish Deck" (reservations required); delicious fish-centered dishes beautifully plated with additional food choices including chicken or beef. My husband's favorite is the coconut shrimp appetizer. Our server, Marilin is funny, helpful and attentive. She has served us on previous vacations, so it was nice to reconnect with a great employee.
"Black Rock" (reservations required); tender beef cuts and creative sides served on sizzling plates while overlooking the ocean. Our server Milan was professional, efficient, attentive and kind.
"Truck Stop"; a fantastic array of options including deliciously seasoned fish tacos, shrimp tacos, beef or chicken skewers, roasted veggies, potatoes and more. My favorite here is the BBQ Tenderloin Beef Skewers. Our regular encounters with our server Carlina were delightful. She is friendly, makes great recommendations and always served us attentively.
"Asu Buffet"; a daily buffet offering nicely presented fruits, veggies, scrambled/hard boiled eggs, omelets and a variety of meats including sausage, bacon and other dishes.
"Dragon Orchid" (reservations required) is a sushi restaurant. Though we don't eat sushi, guests I have spoken with were pleased with the menu.
"Irie Bites" grill does seasoned chicken with rice & beans and corn on a daily basis, just off the beach for a quick lunch.
"Turquois Grill" offers pizzas, burgers, fries, etc. from afternoon until midnight.
"Fire & Ice" (reservations required) is fine dining at the sister resort, Blue Haven, which you can reach by free shuttle. They offer an expansive and exciting menu of fish, beef and chicken dishes.
"Salt" is a casual grill at the Blue Haven marina that doesn't require reservations. We haven't eaten there but spoke with a guest who enjoyed the food.
Drinks:
"Smoothie Bar" open from early morning until 2pm will mix delicious fresh fruits, juices, syrups and milks to order. We enjoyed a daily afternoon pick-me-up from this stand. Robert and Mary, manning the blender each morning, did a fantastic job serving up good vibes.
"Coconut Bar" is the main bar in the center of the resort. Several bartenders rotate shifts here, and I've never been disappointed by any of them. Particularly exceptional in their roles are Skylers (long-time Alexandra Resort bartender, loved by staff and guests alike), Trishauna who expertly took care of our needs in the afternoons, Franko who smiled and energetically served us and brought joy to everyone at the bar. Also, Nahtaly, a new transplant from Colombia, who was interesting, engaging, and worked non-stop mixing cocktails with a happy disposition and desire to please her guests.
Accommodations:
We've only stayed in the one-bedroom ocean-front suites, which are spacious and completely equipped with full kitchens; large dining table (seats 6), dishwasher, washer/dryer, 1 full bath with tub and separate shower, 2nd half bath. The full balcony has another large table (seats 6) and 2 cushioned chairs with ottomans. The views are stunning.
Fridge is stocked daily with lots of water, soda pop and local beer. If you want something extra or just more of something you like, call the front desk and it will be delivered.
Our housekeeper, Madeline Jean thoroughly cleaned our rooms daily and took care of any requests we had. She was marvelous, friendly and her work ethic, admirable.
Recommendations:
--Bring cash in small bills (singles, fives, tens) to tip the servers, housekeeping and bartenders. Everyone works extremely hard to make your vacation wonderful and a little generosity is definitely appreciated.
--Bring a stainless-steel cup with a cap (ie. Yeti) The beach is hot and you'll appreciate having this item to keep your smoothie, ice water or cocktail cold.
--Beach chairs are plentiful. While it's fine to get up early and claim a seat, don't be that chair hog-- rising at 5:30am to claim 6 chairs, (dropping toys or other junk on them) so that your friends/family can sleep till noon or not show up all day. Everyone wants to have a great vacation and most of the guests we have encountered are courteous and thoughtful.
--Shared taxi vans (bring cash) are waiting right outside the airport to take you to your hotel. Pricing at this time is $28 one-way. Again, tips are not required but certainly appreciated. The resort will also arrange for your taxi back to the airport upon check-out.
--Check out the Fish Fry on Thursday nights, just a short 15-minute walk from the resort. There is music, food, dancing and a Junkanoo band parade. A fun diversion.

Alexandra is one of three all inclusive resorts under the Turks & Caicos Luxury Collection. When you stay at one you can play and eat at all three. Alexandra is the largest and is family friendly with three restaurants, a wood burning pizza stand, a Smoothie bar and three bars. The food is very good to excellent, especially at the Fish Deck which is a 4 star restaurant. If you have dietary restrictions like gluten allergy they are very accommodating once you communicate this to the chef.
The resort has an entertainment deck with fun events going on nearly every night, including SuperBowl night, Caribbean night, Steel drum band concert and a Chocolate bar. It also has an amazing stretch of pristine white sand beach with aqua waters, lots of chairs with umbrellas. Service is attentive and friendly, with many folks going out of their way to ensure a truly enjoyable vacation.
Alexandra also has a large pool (with swim up bar), Fitness Center, free blkes to use to go into town which is about 1.5 miles away and a day camp for kids. But if you get bored you can go by free shuttle to Beach House (which is adults only) and offers a near private beach experience with full service at the beach, and a lovely coral reef steps away with beautiful fish to see when snorkeling — equipment available for free. The restaurant there is also excellent for dinner. Or you can go to Blue Haven which also has a pool and beach and kayak around a lagoon there, perhaps seeing some turtles. There are two restaurants there: Salt, an authentic Italian restaurant or Fire and Ice where you can grill your own marinated beef, chicken and pork on a hibachi grill at your table and enjoy their huge salad bar with focaccia bread and fresh soup as well as a full buffet dessert bar (all pastries for three resorts are made there.) Blue Haven also has stir fry with noodles by the bar for lunch and sushi by the bar at night, for snacking!
The biggest surprise at Alexandra was a large, beautiful jute beach bag with two large orange beach towels and two large double walled stainless water bottles which keep water cold all day! This came as a gift for staying at the all inclusive price for 5 days to one week. Everything including round trip air and transfers, free wifi, gratuities, all drinks including alcoholic was part of the package — all together a great deal.

The trip was a last minute deal and our 5th trip to Turks and Caicos. After reading several not so great reviews, our expectations were not high, but that didn’t really matter, as we were headed to our favorite beach, the absolutely gorgeous Grace Bay. However, the Alexandra Resort delivered a SPECTACULAR vacation!
We paid for an ocean-view room, however our first WOW was when we were escorted via golf cart to our oceanfront room on the fourth level. The room was spacious, with a full kitchen, dining and living room, along with a large master and 1.5 baths. Our favorite thing about our room was the huge outdoor patio, overlooking the beautiful Grace Bay, complete, with patio furniture and large outdoor dining table and chairs. Also many places we’ve stayed in tropics, the A/C doesn’t work very well. Our A/C was so cold, we had to turn it off the evening it rained. It was awesome, especially with children, to have a washer/dryer in the room (don’t forget to pack detergent).
The food was our second WOW. It was really delicious and was much better than the food served next door at Beaches Turks and Caicos (where we have stayed 4 times). The beef tenderloins, fish tacos, salmon, fried fish and pasta bar were some of our favorite dinners served. Also, there’s a great selection of alcoholic drinks, our favorites were the rum & punch and margaritas. The drinks were strong, but we’re not complaining!

The room was upgraded for us upon check in which was nice. They gave us a gift baggie of two tumblers and two beach towels, but there were four guests so I thought that was odd being that each guest pays for their stay equally. We requested two more for the other two guests and they brought them up. We found out that not all of the restaurants are open til later and the bars also, so it was annoying that after breakfast while laying out on the beach we couldn’t sip anything and there is no coffee bar and even the smoothie place doesn’t open til 11. That’s super inconvenient. The employees are all super friendly and inviting. We had a hard time finding lounge chairs bc a lot of people would get there early and leave towels on them to hold their spots. Sand is nice water was amazing.
Room has everything except paper towels which was in my opinion odd... everything you needed in the kitchen except paper towels. We requested more wash cloths and they never brought them but u ended up taking some from one of the public restrooms. On Saturday between 2-5 pm they shut off the water without notice due to a water main break. We had seen the parking lot overflowing with sewage that morning and figured they were working on it. There was literally no water anywhere we could not use the bathrooms or shower or wash our hands for three hours. By 5 it came back on. Then we got another letter saying they will shut it off between midnight and 4 am to work on it again. We were having anxiety bc we went out Saturday night and were thinking if we stay out too late by the time we come back there won’t be any way to use the restrooms. So we tried to empty while we were out and came back before midnight. It was super inconvenient and we spoke with several other guests who said they had been staying over a week and the same thing had already happened prior to this day. Because of this I would not be back. There are too many resorts on the island and they didn’t feel like they could’ve made it right somehow by giving us a discount or offering to perhaps shuttle us somewhere to use the restrooms. By the time 4 am came around they turned the water back on it woke us all up from our sleep bc it was an extremely loud screeching sound coming through the pipes.
We tried to go to the spa and the girl told us there was only one service provider on the weekends therefore all four of us could not get spa services at the same time. We tried to get reservations at beach House 218 but in order to do this you have to call at 7 am and make reservations for the same day and they were totally booked up everyday by the time we called.
Food and drinks were not bad. It’s one of the cheapest resorts but I’d honestly pay more for better service.
Oh and we got bit like crazy by mosquitos.
Overall it was relaxing but that’s Turks and caicos in general I would stay somewhere else on a return visit.

My wife and I just checked out after spending a week at this amazing resort. From the moment you check in, where you're greeted with rum punch and a cold towel, to every aspect, there is nothing they won't do to make you happy.
The room was cleaned daily, fridge restocked, and when we realized there was a washer and dryer right in the room we felt like we were at home.
The dinners at Asu, where you have a choice of tenderloin, Mahi Mahi, pork or chicken were fabulous. You cook your meat on a special black rock. Fish deck was good as well. The burgers and pizza at pizza shack were good. The jerk chicken cooked daily by the beach was to die for.
Bars poured great drinks and staff was super friendly.
The beach is breathtaking. Alexandra has hobie cat catamarans, paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear and floats for your use free of charge.
A mile down the beach to the left is Coral Gardens where there is a reef that begins 20 yards offshore. The sights were amazing, so many types of fish to see.
Finally, a special shoutout to the staff. Gulia at the pool bar always greeted us with a warm smile and made fabulous drinks. Chidley and Davidson at the bar by the pizza shack were also very friendly. Tony at Asu tipped us off to the chocolate fondue for two and we ended up getting it 3 times.
So, other than my shorts probably not fitting well anymore, i would highly recommend the Alexandra. One final thing, make sure to tip the staff. Maybe tipping isn't normal at an all inclusive, but we tipped constantly due to the staff's attentive nature.
Thank you to all at Alexandra. We hope to be able to come back and visit you again someday.

We had a great time at the Alexandra, it was a much needed break from the mundane life back in the USA.
Resort: The Alexandra was best described as the Residence Inn of the Island. I thought we were living the dream until we walked over to The Palms (an adjacent property) and were blown away. I'm sure the rooms at the Palms were much more expensive, but from what we were told, there were properties on the island with The Palms level of accommodations equal/less than what we paid. Non-inclusive. Beach access was great and there were hardly anyone there so it felt like we had a private beach. On Friday people started coming in, but by that time we had already established ourselves as regulars.
Food: We were disappointed in the serving size and quality of food at The Alexandra. We learned on our last day that the resort switched over to the all-inclusive model about 18 months ago. The staff were amazing and they did the best they could. I've stayed at all-inclusive resorts before so I'm not going to knock that business model because when it works, IT WORKS.
Excursions: Concierge was great and answered all of our needs. No complaints there!
Activities: The staff was amazing, we instantly clicked with them and was sad to leave them behind. We also did a 50mins massage and had no complaints there.
COVID Stuff: I actually felt safer in there I than I do in the states. They were very diligent with the authorizations and everyone (staff) wore masks. They recently extended curfew to 11PM.

My wife an I enjoyed our stay at the Alexandra Resort seeing that it was our first time coming to the Caribbean.. Although it was less than what we expected. There are no hot tubs and there are no places where adults can venture from everything else. We understand that its a kid friendly zone but there should have more accommodations for the adults.
Although majority of our vacation was a success with the great treatment from the staff my only down fall was with a chef. Having my wife having multiple allergies and could not eat from certain menus we were guided over to a executive Sous chef Nael that promised to take care of our special requirements. Having met with this chef, he started to conversate with my wife showing some form of interest in her no only by the features on his face but also by his hand gestures while shaking her hand. I for second thought that I was exaggerating until my wife told me what happen when we headed back to our room.
Coming to a hotel a guest we are entitled to feel secure no having to look over our shoulder. I don’t think I would ever come back to this hotel because there is no level of respect giving to married couples.

Our first trip to Turks and Caicos happened to occur during the middle of a pandemic, and while many are learning to navigate this new normal, Alexandra Resort has it all figured out. The staff made sure all safety protocols were followed as we were greeted with branded masks and provided a plethora of hand sanitizer available at every table and restaurant entry. The respect they showed for the safety of others was truly impressive.
We took this trip to celebrate a birthday, and the team took “surprise and delight” to a whole new level – After helping us coordinate a surprise visit to the Spa, Alluwanna set up a VIP dinner table with beautiful decorations, champagne and a special rendition of Happy Birthday from none other than the Pozitive Vybrationz. Management from Bianca and Milton was extraordinary from beginning to end. There are too many moments to recount, but one to note is that after learning of a dietary restriction in our group, Bianca was able to secure gluten-free options in less than 45 minutes. This is just one example of their effort to make sure all guests were cared for.
During our time there, we took full advantage of all of the fun activities and entertainment. The resort provides free watersport equipment including paddleboards, snorkeling gear, tubing, etc. The beach-side team were all smiles and so helpful – shout out to Jimmy who made sure that we had everything we needed (and more) with top-notch service and great conversation.
We can’t recommend Alexandra Resort enough, from the unmatched hospitality and friendly, energetic staff to the amazing views and crystal clear water, you won’t want to leave!

We got to spent 5 wonderful full days on the most beautiful beach !! The sand is soft and white the ocean is so clear ,warm and calm that you can see the sand on the bottom and little fish . The resort is not so big or fancy but has everything you need . The food is very good nothing outstanding but the two restaurants for dinner are open right on the beach . Breakfast buffet not fancy but has everything and good, very good bacon and bagels . Reading all the bad reviews about making reservations was not true for us , we went to dinner whenever we wanted . There is a small bar right on the beach and Jesus would go to the other bar to get me a Pina Colona and towel , very nice cute young man. A very nice woman cooks excellent chicken and hamburgers on the beach . The shows at night are nothing to talk about at 8:30 . Our Oceanfront room was very clean and large with a great balcony right on the beach and the views of the ocean are breath taken ,the view was so worth the extra money . The whole resort was very clean and follow all the coronavirus rules. Rapid test right at the resort and given results in 20 minutes . The people are nice and helpful but slow .
We were lucky not many guests so no problem with getting a good spot on the beach, we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation on no special time to be anywhere. We met and talked to so many different people from all over and enjoy each day. Each person loved the beach and said best beach ever . Coffee ,bags of chips and fruit bar all day but no room service available .

We stayed here with our family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 9) 1/13 - 1/18 and had a wonderful time! The rooms are spacious, the food/drinks were very good, the service was great and the beach was the most beautiful beach we've ever seen! We particularly loved the fresh smoothie bar daily and dinner at the Fish Deck. We felt the all-inclusive package was well worth the money spent since food/drinks are very expensive in Turks and Caicos. There were also a lot of food options for the kids which was great since one of ours is a picky eater. The pool was nothing special (i.e. no water slides, no ocean view) but the kids loved it nonetheless and there was a pool bar which we enjoyed! There was also a fun entertainment crew that came around the pool area. The kids loved that they could get fresh popped popcorn and snow cones in the pool area as well. We also visited Blue Haven, one of the sister properties, which was also very beautiful but noticeably more windy! With regards to the rooms, I can agree that they were slightly dated but that had no effect on our stay as we came to be outside in the tropical sun! The cleaning crew promptly cleaned our room each day and we had a nice clean, spacious room to come back to each night. If I have one complaint it would be the pillows... the pillows were not comfortable! I'm not sure if they are the same in every room, but our room had square shaped pillows (instead of rectangular). So, that would be my only suggestion for immediate improvement. I would rather have a comfy pillow than an updated room! That said, we absolutely hope to stay here again in the future!

I'm sorry, we do not have beach wheelchairs.
Thanks for your interest in Alexandra Resort. Some garden studios may have a partial ocean view, and some do not. The view cannot be guaranteed so we exclude the possibility from the room description.
They do but it isn’t anything over the top. They’ll have an entertainer doing various things.
Hi
You have to understand Turks is a sleepy island, nightly entertainment and music are usually off by 10pm
The food at the resort is incredible, we went out twice for dinner at recommend restaurants , pricey but worth it. However, the food on the resort was exceptional. You can ask the front desk to arrange a celebratory dinner they are very accommodating
We never went to blue haven, we are beach ppl they are at the marina
The pool is small and we don’t like pools on vacation especially when the water is as beautiful as it was
We had an oceanfront deluxe room they did t have a washer dryer
Relax, if your looking for cleanliness, amazing beaches and food with top notch service you picked the right place
My expectations are high and this place ticked off every list
