Windsong On The Reef is often celebrated for its spacious and well-appointed rooms, with a nod to their modern updates and cleanliness, though some guests miss having views or balconies. While the hotel's location earns accolades, the nighttime music sometimes disrupts the peace. The staff's helpfulness receives mixed reviews, with instances of service inconsistency. The beach and snorkeling amenities are a hit, yet some guests find the value wanting due to perceived overpriced services. Despite this, the resort's overall cleanliness and atmosphere are frequently commended.

I would give Windsong 6 stars if I could. This was our first visit to Turks and Caicos. Great location. The beach and pool area were very comfortable. Awesome snorkeling right off the beach. Easy to order drinks from servers coming to the beach or pool bar. Restaurant (with tables right above beach) was a special experience with exceptional food. We had a 2 bedroom ocean front room and this was perfect for our group. The staff was very kind and attentive. Kahlil was helpful as a butler/concierge.
Congrats to the management. We will be back.

Stayed for 7 nights late March into April, during spring break. This hotel was perfect for families with bungalows with separate rooms, washer/dryers, full size kitchen, and great service to the room. Location is wonderful, right off one off the main reefs, which you can snorkel directly off the beach, water sports are available, and the beach staff are wonderful, especially Gustav and Larry. The restaurant was expensive and save a few good dishes, serves overcooked fish, cold soup, stale bread and takes over an hour to bring food out, even when the resort is 1/3 full with full staff. The gym is small, but decent. The pools are well heated and cared for. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating, except we requested late checkout and they oiled only add an hour, again, with a mostly empty resort. Overall, it is a great location for families, but do not expect a huge beach, or prompt restaurant service.

How wonderful that you vacationed with friends and stayed in our spacious, villa-like Bungalows. Indeed they have full kitchens, washers and dryers , and some first floor bungalows have private lanais with grills. We're delighted that you embraced the snorkeling reef next to our beach and all of the complimentary water toys -- glass bottom kayaks, paddle boards, Hobie Cats and floating hammocks. We're sorry that you experienced less than prompt service in our restaurant. We have addressed your concerns and do hope that you will stay with us a gain.

The TCI has been on my bucket list for the last 7 years and this is the hotel I picked to stay at. I was very pleased with everything. First, book your reservations ahead of time. The room we had is a good value for $400 which is what we paid because we booked ahead of time. If you wait until 2-3 months before you go, you may pay as high as $550. I also booked at Hotels.com which offered the best rate. Be sure to visit different sites.

The pool was huge and most people who visit, don't swim so I had the pool all to myself. It is lit up at night so you can swim in the evening. Plenty of towels. I wish the hot tub was kept hot.

The complimentary breakfast is limited but for a little extra, they will cook an omelet for you and this was good.

Very good parking, very quiet and the staff was nice. I really don't see the need to stay at a more expensive place. So many great place to see and eat so we did not need to stay at a more expensive place that charges $800/night or more (unless you're rich).

Very good snorkeling. As soon as you get in the water, you see fish. They have buoys all around the protected reef. About 50 feet past the buoys on the right side is where the turtles are. I saw 4 turtles together by the grassy area. Also right outside the end of the buoys I saw a stingray and 2 spotted rays swimming together. There are may different types of fish but the coral is not as vibrant as other areas I have visited.

Be advised that there are wind gusts in the TCI so the water is always choppy. I would not recommend diving later in the day. Also, I snorkel with a Body Glove vest for extra buoyancy and recommend this. It makes snorkeling very easy.

I highly recommend staying here.

Thank you for choosing the Windsong Resort for your "bucket list" trip to Turks and Caicos. We know you have many great options and are honored that you trusted us with your very special 1st visit to Providenciales. We're delighted that you enjoyed your accommodations, our swimming pools, and snorkeling with our "underwater neighbors" just off shore. We also appreciate your mention of the many little details we provide for guests. It will be our pleasure to host you again at Windsong.

My wife and I visited the Windsong on August 6-16, 2020. This was our 7th trip to TCI and our 7th time to stay at the Windsong. Walking into the lobby was just as fun as it always is even though there were masks and elbow bumps given instead of our usual smiles and hugs! The welcome rum punch is always the best part when arriving!

The Windsong accommodated our request for the specific ocean front suite that we try to get each trip. They even had a bottle of champagne chilled waiting for us in our room. We also had the hotel pick up a few things at the grocery store prior to our arrival so we wouldn’t have to take time away from our first day.

As far as the safety precautions go, masks were required everywhere except once you were on the beach and once you were seated at your table if you were dining there. They also had plenty of hand sanitizer available along with providing disposable masks if you needed them.

The service was great as always! The butlers, Khalil and Derron, did an awesome job booking all of the restaurants we wanted to go to for dinner. They checked in every time they saw us to make sure we were having a good time!

We ate at JoJo’s the first night we were there and had a blast being served by two of our favorite employees Samuel and Dandreko. It was like coming home to hang out with our best friends! My wife and I also met the property manager that night. He arranged for us to have dinner on the beach a couple days later. The food (particularly the lobster) they served us that night topped the other restaurants we visited. This was certainly the highlight of our trip.

In the mornings, we enjoyed breakfast down at the dunes with RJ as our server. He’s hilarious. The oatmeal, eggs, bacon, fruit, and bread are delicious. A good start to the day!

During the day, we spent most of our time on the beach either relaxing in the loungers or in the floating discs with a rum punch in hand. Our buddies Omar and Gustavo took great care of us, as always. They are very friendly and were quick to bring us our drinks.

This trip we snorkeled more than our prior trips. Because there were so few people, we felt like we were able to enjoy it even more without feeling crowded. We were impressed with the amount and variety of fish we saw this time. We also saw a small turtle. Visibility was great!

As always, the time went by too fast and we were sad to leave. Our friends, or should I say, our “TCI family” at the Windsong go the extra mile to make sure our stay is perfect. We cannot wait to be back.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Windsong and early June and overall we were pleased with our stay. The people were warm and welcoming and we felt like we got excellent service. They really went out of their way for you. We utilized the butler several times to make dinner reservations, tour reservations, and to call taxies. The room was surprisingly spacious given the small floorplans (we stayed in the basic king) and the bed was very comfortable. They service the room twice a day and the resort is very clean and inviting. They even provided a little welcome bag at check-in with masks and hand sanitizer (along with some rum punch). The location is incredible for snorkelers, as we saw the most incredible marine life just feet from the beach. However, it is a bit far from the main town area. We took advantage of the free bikes a couple times and made the 15 minute ride into town - not too terrible but also not pleasant in 85 degree weather. However, there were two bigger negatives. First the food is terrible. Breakfast is three items from a short list. I went with oatmeal, yogurt and fruit the first day, and subsequently swapped out the yogurt for cold cereal on future days as it was incredibly sweet. They give you mini pastries as well, all of which were stale. The fruit is your average fruit salad with lots of honeydew and cantaloupe, and they lie on the menu by claiming the juice is fresh (I literally saw someone pouring from a bottle). Lunch was even worse. The food was extremely bland and did not taste fresh. We gave up after our first meal and started visiting other restaurants for lunch and dinner. The mixed drinks also aren't great and are mostly sugar with little to no alcohol. Second, there was a loose paver on the path to our breakfast table that I rolled my ankle on during our third morning. I saw several waiters walk over the spot so the resort clearly knew it was loose. I would expect a high end resort to fix the issue, or at least warn guests to avoid that spot. The paver remained loose for the rest of our stay, and I was limited by an injured ankle for the rest of my trip. Next time, I think I would opt to pay a bit more for a resort closer to the town and with better food.

Thank you for your kind words for our staff and the service they provided you. It is our goal to treat guests like we would want to be treated on vacation. It delights us that you enjoyed our arrival and butler service, housekeeping, snorkeling over the adjacent reef, and complimentary use of bicycles to ride into town. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy the included continental breakfast. We do wish you had brought your concerns to our attention so we could have offered you something else. Thank you for letting us know about the loose brick paver; it has been firmly secured. We hope to host you again soon at Windsong on the Reef.

We had previously stayed at the Reef Residences adjacent to the Windsong on several occasions. We had no familiarity with the Windsong besides walking along side to get to the beach and to the snorkeling on the reef right in front so we were curious to see what changes there might be since the Windsong purchase. We were there with a family group of 7 for a week and must say that the whole experience was great for all.

The Reef Residence units are being fully renovated, we had a 3 bedroom unit that had been totally redone and updated, it was large and we could have had a couple more people in it no problem. The Reef Res pool area has also been fully redone while remaining a pleasant and quiet oasis. Sometimes our young kids wanted to be in the main pool and other times they wanted the Reef pool which they often had to themselves.

Integration with the Windsong facilities has been seamless, we enjoyed the morning continental breakfast and use of the main pool and closer access to the beach, reef and cabanas. Service was excellent, friendly but not intrusive. Housekeeping staff was great, especially the evening turndown visit which included help tidying up the kitchen area. Many guests were there with children, it's a perfect spot for a family beach vacation especially with easy access to snorkelling right from the beach

TCI remains a great winter destination for us and is now even better as we get to know the Windsong experience

We enjoy Winding on the Reef. We were here 10 years ago at a different time of year and returned this year during spring break, a much different experience. What makes Windsong great is the people who work here. DK and Omar at the beach, Samuel at breakfast, the 2 women who are servers at dinner (my apologies, ladies, I forgot to write your names down but we really enjoyed you!) and the housekeeping staff are amazing. I'm sure there are some I am missing, but we interacted with these wonderful people every day of our 10 day stay. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was spacious, had a washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, filtered water, and wonderful balcony overlooking the sea. What was challenging this visit was the other visitors. All beach loungers would be blocked by 8 AM though they were, at most times, empty. The resort did nothing to correct this, and some beach attendants were holding the spots for families. Also of note this time was the vendors walking the beach. I do not remember this in the past, and I do not enjoy being approached by vendors while relaxing on the beach, especially during Covid. That said, we understand the tourism business has suffered during the pandemic and we tried to support as many people as we could, but not while sitting on the beach. We enjoyed the lunch menu more than the dinner menu, and the dinner menu is pricey!!! We rented a car and ate half of our dinners off-property. Some other positives are that the resort is smaller than many others on the island, it is RIGHT on the reef, and the snorkeling is great (though the coral is not as vital as it was 10 years ago and we worry that not everyone is as cautious as they could be, touching coral and feeding the fish). We snorkeled around 4 PM to watch the sea turtles eating, and floated and watched them for nearly an hour. We had a ray float under us in about 3 feet of water! Also, most of the tour operators will pick you up right on the beach at the Windsong. We did a private catamaran tour with Ocean Vibes (highly recommend), went diving with Aqua TCI (amazing!!!) and did parasailing with Ocean Vibes as well. The front desk staff was super helpful arranging Covid testing to return to the US, much appreciated. We will definitely return!

Thank you for your many compliments to our staff. We always strive to provide excellent service, and exceptional housekeeping, and it appears we have succeeded. How wonderful that you have such perspective 10 years after your first visit to Windsong. We have made many improvements such as more beach toy offerings, Dune dining, and turndown service to name a fews. With regard to beach chairs, the one's near the snorkeling reef are always in highest demand. However, there are usually plenty for our guests. Windsong does not encourage reservation of chairs, and unused chairs are usually cleaned up after an hour. It should be noted though that a guest may leave their belongings on chairs while they are snorkeling for a reasonable time. We do our best to discourage beach vendors from approaching our guests, but when guests invite their approach, we cannot do much at that point. We encourage our guests to utilize the services of our butlers to make excursion arrangements because we use only reputable vendors. Thank you for staying with us and please come back soon.

Arrived 4 day ago 10.4.20. Rented a junior suite (it was nice and very roomy) but negotiated an upgrade to a beach view- best thing we have ever done, ever! The size of this room with the size of the patio facing the ocean is absolutely awesome. October is a little less expensive and this year because of Covid and the 8:00pm curfew the resort is at less than 20% capacity. Literally have the beach to ourselves much of the day.
The staff is some of the nicest people we have ever encountered. It is sad what Covid has done for tourism and the financial strains it puts on the working staff. I hate to take advantage of a bad situation but it does help the people at the resort.
I want to live here or be quarantined here for another month. The weather is a perfect breezy 85F and a occasional cloud. The ocean is like glass- very, very calm. First time to Turks but it won’t be my last and it will always be Windsong.

Lovely property with beautiful beach and perfect reef access for snorkeling. Clean spacious rooms and if you are staying an extended period of time, the kitchen & grill/patio for suites that have them would be nice to utilize. Beach staff works hard to supply towels, gear and keep beach and beach chairs, umbrellas clean and available. "Butlers" Derron and Khalil work hard to answer questions, make dinner reservations, etc.
Check in was disappointing, one person checking in guests, answering phones, fielding guest questions during a very busy post Christmas season, two people would have helped all (callers, check in & guests needing guidance) dramatically.
Food at JoJo's is marginal, much is frozen vs fresh.

We paid premium rates for a week-long stay at Windsong on the Reef in Providenciales, TCI and while we loved the one bedroom suite we had, we were terribly disappointed about the Guest Service. I was there for a scuba diving certification course and could not have the included continental breakfast before 7:30 am each morning which made it difficult to make the 7:45 am Dive Shop pickup. In fact, we were late for the first pickup, so upon our return, we asked the Front Desk what our options were. We were told that we could pay an additional fee to get room service at 7 am and we thought that was a great solution. However, the next morning, we were told that it was impossible to have room service at 7 am as the head cook would not arrive until 7:30. This is just one example of miscommunication about exactly what the hotel could provide us. I will definitely not return to this hotel.

We are happy that you were delighted with your One Bedroom Suite at Windsong. We apologize for the miscommunication you experienced with our staff regarding early arrangements for breakfast. Regrettably, it appears to have cast a shadow on your guest service in general. We have addressed the issue and hope that you will stay with Windsong in the future so we can demonstrate what most guests experience -- excellent guest service. Please feel free to ask for a manager for any unresolved issue. We encourage our guests at check-in to contact our general manager, and include her business card with the room key upon arrival.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite last month and based on how the buildings are positioned I think you will be just fine regardless of where you end up. My suggestion is this, get a 2nd floor or above suite if you can. Better views and perhaps less noise.
