My humble words will not do justice to the beauty and grandeur offered by Plummer's at Great Bear Lake. It is incredible. I booked a week long fly fishing package after many conversations with Chuk and Josh at the Edmonton boat show. The package included two nights at the tree river and a day fly out from the main lodge....

We just returned from a four day trip to Plummers Great Slave Lake Lodge. Let me just start by saying that I have had to book a massage appointment due to how stiff I am from reeling in all the lake trout that were hooked! We did not manage to catch a monster but we did catch many over the...

If you are interested in catching trophy lake trout and arctic char, there is probably no better place than Plummer's Great Bear Lodge. We had an outstanding guide (Jelly) who worked really hard to get us on fish. We caught grayling, northern pike, and lake trout. We also went to Tree River to fish for arctic char, and that was...

We went to Plummer's Lodge not quite sure what to expect. We will be back. The trip was incredibly amazing with wonderful staff and breath taking scenery. Our guide was most patient with two novice fisherman, Pandy was amazing. We caught so many beautiful fish and "graduated". This is a trip that any outdoors lover should take at least once...

Last summer, along with several colleagues, we fished Great Bear Lake. Our stay at Plummer's Lodge was all-round superb. The hosts were welcoming and the hospitality ambiance was a unique experience. The fishing was ... as always ... a memory in and of itself. Hope to be going back.

After 30 years of dreaming about it, my dad, uncle, brother-in-law and myself booked a week at Plummer's Trophy Lodge on Great Bear Lake. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, the staff, food and most importantly, the fishing, exceeded our expectations. This is a first class operation with professional guides that will make sure you...

I have been to Plummer's lodges on both Slave and Bear. There are 2 main differences--Slave has much more incredible landscape with towering cliffs and forested areas but Bear has the fish of a lifetime. Let me say Chummy the owner and before him his Dad Wayne run a 1st class operation unequaled in the north country. The accomodations although...

I was above the Arctic Circle for my first time last summer at Plummers Great Bear Lake Lodge. The fishing season starts there in early July and the sun doesn't dip below the horizon until three weeks later! The scenery was just amazing. It was like stepping back in time a few thousand years and seeing how the world was....

When you travel to Plummers Great Slave Lake Lodge, you will be transported to a place of indescribable peace and beauty. The scenery will take your breath away at every turn. You will have the urge to take a photograph every few minutes and you won't be sorry if you do. The main goal, of course, is the fishing and...

I visited great bear lake in 2007 and great slave lake in 2010 & 2012. Plummers is by far my favorite destination after 50 fishing trips to Canada. Biggest lake trout I have seen come into the boat: 31, 31, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 43, & 50 pounds. And more 20 pounders than I can count. Food and accommodations...
