My wife and I recently stayed at the Everglades hotel for a weekend away on a daddys deal special. On arrival we were upgraded to the new delux rooms on the far side of the property. I recommend the delux rooms as they are very spacious and elegantly decorated. The staff were humble and efficient at the hotel. The hotel... More

If going to Everglades I would strongly suggest not going for one of the budget rooms. Outdated decor, paint peeling off window frames, old bathroom, horrible smell from the chemicals used on the thatch and only one plug so you must choose to watch TV or have the heater on. They need a big upgrade! The staff were very good... More

We stopped in for one night after a wedding in the area, left the next morning before check-out time. Very quiet and tranquil, can imagine it would be an awesome place to chill and take in the scenery - next time I'll be putting some time aside to climb the Dargle mountain; set just behind the hotel. Room was nice... More

Everglades Hotel is located in the stunning Dargle Valley, the Midlands, KZN at the foot of the Inhlosane Mountain. Although its in the Midlands the hotel is not near Midlands Meander and requires about 20 minutes drive on dirt road in car. It's a lovely estate consisting of various thatched buildings and I stayed in a four room block. My... More

An absolutely brilliant relaxing and Friendly environment place to stay. The tranquil quiet surroundings brought back such good memories since my last visit 40 yrs ago with my family. Faces may have changed but Everglades and it's lush green gardens and fresh crisp air, brought a peaceful moment for my wife on her birthday.. on a surprise ride with our Harley-Davidson...

The drive there was very scenic and it is situated below a lovely mountain in a farm area. I've rated it fairly high, not because it's really good, but because it is fair and for the price we paid, it is good value for money. It's also not bad in anyway. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was... More

Everglades is definitely worth value for month. It is peaceful, tranquil, beautiful and with amazing views. The staff is friendly with a great sense of humor. We were warmly welcomed and looked after well. The bedrooms were great, comfortable, clean and well sized. Everglades is well situated to make a trip to Howick Falls, Nottingham Brewery, the Belgium Chocolate Shop,... More
