We stayed there for 3 nights, and loved it! As a surprise bonus, we ended up enjoying the Flor de Almendro fiesta! (the almond trees flowering celebration.) The location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, the bathroom was flawless and we managed to get two separate beds with separate mattrasses and blankets. Add another star for this! Two things to...

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of January. The hotel is in a lovely area of Gran Canaria. The views from the bedroom balcony were stunning, over the amazing scenery in this part of the island. Fina, the manageress could not have been more helpful, both before and during our stay; while the rest...

I spent two nights in this hotel in February with my parents who are in their 80s. The rooms were very comfortable, if a bit dark. The initial welcome was robust, rather than warm. It was unseasonably cold. Breakfast was fine apart from including the weakest coffee I have ever drunk. The fist bath was warmish but not at a...

Dear Mrs. P. M. very sorry. We know bad weather, it rained and the street was very cold. Tejeda is a mountain village, and it is not the best situation for people aged 80 and articulation problems .. All rooms are bright and overlook the mountain. The hotel is all air-conditioned, no heating at all facilities. The fireplace is always...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fonda de la Tea over the Christmas holiday. My husband and I were there for a hiking holiday and unfortunately I broke my ankle on the first day of our hike. While working on arrangements to fly home for surgery we stayed at this hotel for three nights. The owner and staff were...

Great view and well networked in to the local eateries, Tejeda makes an excellent base for mountainous activities. However despite the miserable cold evening rain (in January), she was very reticent to light the fire in the public lounge in the evening which we had been looking forward to after a long day walking or on the bike. Continental breakfast...

We are here now. We have a fantastic room which is large. The staff have been brilliant and make us very welcome. Our breakfasts are the best. The fruit salad selection is amazing. Will be sad to leave.

A simple hotel, very nicely arranged. Fantastic view from the the terrasse. Our one week stay was great. Fina helped us with a book to find the best hiking spots around (there are many). Breakfast was perfect, with plenty of fresh fruits that we loved, and all whet you can ask for. The hotel is very clean.

I stayed in this lovely hotel for 5 nights and was sad when I had to leave again. Not only is it located in a most attractive part of the island, the hotel´s atmosphere makes one feel completely at home. Whenever you need advice, you will get it. The rooms are charming, clean, comfortable, and the common room feels like...

Ok, she is not a warm fuzzy and you had best do as she directs, but the place is spotless, well maintained and comfortable. The terrace on the 2nd floor is a lovely place to read a book, relax and take in the phenomenal view. The place is old and the rooms small, but there are comfortable roomy places to...

Situated right in the centre of this beautiful mountain village Hotel Fonda de la Tea is a small, well run hotel. We had a good room with a comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. As commented elsewhere we found the water could have been hotter for the shower after a day's walking. Breakfast was a varied selection of fruit, cereal,...
