We own a house in nearby Port William and this is our favorite place to eat and we always pop in for a meal every time we come to the area. We stayed here Sept 2015 we had a huge bedroom with a picture window overlooking the harbour. We watched the evening sunset and woke to a sunny morning with... More

Two adults and three kids walked into a bar... We had a great fish dinner in a lovely family pub with a bright airy dining area and prompt friendly service. A little wander around the harbour afterwards with a play on the swings. A lovely lunch.

We ate at the Steam Packet Inn twice whilst on holiday, choosing to sit outside on the harbour. Food was hot, well presented and very tasty. Staff were very polite and friendly and took time to provide water and treats for our dogs on a very hot day. Will definitely return.

The food is lovely just a pity we weren't staying over night as we could of sampled the beers. I had my first cullen skink which was lovely, fish and chips and scampi was lovely.... More

Food was decent enough. Service was miserable and slow. When we tried to attract attention of the staff after waiting a good while we were told "You haven't booked, so you'll just have to wait" Bizarre. Service continued to be very slow, so we cut our losses and headed back home for dessert.

Possibly the best hotel room view I've ever had, the room surpassed expectation, really nice and the meal was delicious and really good value. Giving us a jacket to borrow for a drizzly after dinner walk really made the evening! Thanks

Great supper as usual. Tried the baked avocado as a starter, really tasty. Also the trio of seafood starter was excellent. Hot smoked salmon for main course, absolutely beautiful and cooked perfectly. The burger is also well cooked with lively onion rings.

Booked a single night to attend a party. Great selection of beer (8 hand pumps plus real cider) and good food in a popular and welcoming pub. The location could not be better overlooking the small harbour, car parking right outside and plenty of good walks close by.
