We live local and one Friday night decided to go to the "Hermy" for a pint and bar meal. My wife had fish and I ordered the luxury burger it had cheese and bacon and 2 burgers. It cost £12.99. I have never had so much gristle in a burger it was horrible, must have been the cheapest on the...

Ate here yesterday for our evening meal, could not fault anything, great food, lovely home made chips, haddock was fantastic with great batter, liver and onions was great and the portions very generous. Overall experience was really enjoyable and will definitely return.

Tempted in for a meal due to varied menu on board outside, food served all day. Traditional food but with a twist and freshly cooked. Warm and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were cooked to perfection and so delicious we had had to return again the next day and were not disappointed; by...

Popped in for lunch on my way back to Amble and was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable surroundings and great service. Good menu choice with a few specials as well. Main courses from about £8 upwards, I had scampi at £9.50. Will return with friends next time

Basic bar food. Fine but nothing special. Expensive for what it was. Chips were particularly poor. Lasagne was very small. Quick service. Drinks were fine. Long wait to pay bill. Not particularly clean.

The waiter/owner? greeted us by burping in our faces and then ignored us several times, taking his time to serve us almost, it seemed, on purpose. The seating was uncomfortable. The food was satisfactory. I wouldn't come back again. There isn't much more to say really.

Went for a meal with my wife at this pub/restaurant and were truly delighted with both the swift service and friendly staff. Our meals arrived within 15 minutes and both were decent portions and piping hot. The staff were very attentive without being over intrusive. This was a Wednesday evening so rather quiet compared to a weekend I guess. Highly...

Good meat choice on the carvery. Well flavoured pies. Warm welcome. Experienced staff. Traditional deserts. Good for a family get together. On tap Shiraz nice enough. Glass of Prosecco to start a good option.

My family ate here today. The service was very poor and unwelcoming, we waited 45 minutes for our meal and when it arrived it was of extremely poor quality and presentation. The whole time we were in the pub no one attended the table to ask if we wanted any more drinks or if our food was ok. The fishcakes...
