We flew into Bocas del Toro on "Nature Air" from Costa Rica on February 26, 2015. We got there are noontime - they checked and let us into our room early. (Check-in time is 2 PM) We wanted an air-conditioned room with an ocean view - we got a mini-suite with a double bed and two single beds. The A/C...

Reasonably priced hotel directly across from the main island. Highly recommend not staying on Isla Colon because it is very dirty and gross (trash, rats). The room was clean, albeit not new, and the staff was nice, BUT there was a power outage while we were there (which is apparently common) so we couldn't shower or do anything for an...

Thank you very much for your comment. Indeed we believe Isla Colon is different from where our hotel is located in Carenero Island. Once a month there is a cut electicidad for maintenance of general plant Bocas del Toro, this takes about 3 hours per month. Exceptionally there may be a fault and everywhere. Understand that we are in an...

The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Its a 1 minute water taxi ride to main town ($1 per person) which is nice when you dont want to be kept awake all night by partying tourists. Food is great and basic food is cheap. This place is best for couples that are not looking to hang...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Oasis mid December 2014. We stayed in the suite with the king bed overlooking the bay. From the moment we arrived Jose and Ida treated us like family and made us feel right at home. The treatment was not needed or expected but very much appreciated. They were always available but never intrusive....

Small family run hotel just couple of minutes boat ride from Bocas Town. Rooms are simple and noice from bars and water-taxi station might disturb - allthough this might still be quite peaceful hotel considering hotels in Bocas town. Frendly personnell. Free wifi. No credit cards accepted.

Staff- If you are looking for a big impersonal hotel experience where you are just a room number, look elsewhere! Jose and family are about as good as you could wish for in terms of friendly, attentive and responsive hosts. Food - fantastic, especially the lobster. Atmosphere - relaxing, low pressure, and convenient to Bocas town , while still being...

Two buddies and I had originally planned a two night stay in Bocas staying at a hotel in Bocas Town but decided to extend the trip shortly prior to going and chose Oasis. Staff: From what I gathered, this is a family run hotel with a few staff members. Everyone was polite, friendly, and helpful. Lobby/Bar: Nicely decorated clean area...

First, an overall word of warning: Bocas Del Toro (BDT) is not Boca Rotan. BDT is primitive, laid back, and built around the water. There is a causal feel or vibe to the entire area. For as enticing as it sounds, BDT is not for everyone. You may have a disappointing vacation if you demand high end service, credit card...

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in July. We loved it! It was clean and the rooms were big. Wifi was good in the lobby, which was a big, beautiful, open air area. Jose was very helpful and gave us great recommendations of things to do and how to get to the beaches. I loved how...

We went to visit the Bocas del Toro area in the Carribean as a first visit. The hotels owners were very gracious and friendly. The accommodations were not what was anticipated. “The only way to get to and from is by water taxi from Bocas Town. But no worries, It's very quick and easy. I was a bit disappointed that it seemed impossible to get off the premises by foot to explore Isla Carenaro, However, tours are organized from the hotel to many wonderful sites/activities.”
