We stopped by The George Hotel's restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for cream tea. We had wonderful scones, sticky toffee pudding and lemon tarts. Lovely dining room and friendly staff. Will have to come back for dinner one day!

We stayed for 2 nights while attending an event in Henfield. The room and tiny en-suite were clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet despite being over the bar in looking out on the busy High Street. But there were several irritating things, all those we mentioned were immediately acted upon, hopefully this will lead to them being...

Had a good night at the George Henfield. Lovely comfortable bed and nice quiet room, the bathroom was clean , the only thing was they need a new shower head as it was taped. Very good full english breakfast this morning. Staff member that booked me and and served breakfast was very helpful.

As there was eight of us for dinner, The George requested that we pre-order our food (not an unreasonable request). However, on the night, the service was VERY slow, and they knew we were pushed for time. I had pre-ordered stuffed squash at £14.00, but was served stuffed aubergine and charged £15.00. The lighting was so poor that I could...

We met up with old friends at the George on a Sunday in February. We had the roast on the menu either roast beef. roast pork or vegetarian. Very well presented and good attention to detail when the meal arrived. Extremely tasty

We ate at The George last night. Not a huge menu but some good choices. We opted for a main course and pudding. I had beef goulash and my partner fish pie. Both were excellent, good tasty food and nice portion sizes too. There was also a fresh fish menu which had various options too. For pudding my partner had...

My family came for a drink here, and the first thing we were greeted by was an argument between staff.. Not very inviting to say the least. Such a shame that we left before drinks as this has a lot of character to the building... sadly not much else .

Four of us had a lovely meal here last Saturday evening. Beautiful Christmas decorations, very tasty food and friendly service. Hadn't been here for a while so good to see it back on track. Lots of choice on the menu and all our meals were very nicely cooked and presented.

We turned up here on a busy Sunday afternoon requiring a table for 5, not a problem. Menu choices and food were amazing. The staff busy and only 3 of them served us with excellent friendly service, nothing too much trouble. Plus a bonus of a fish menu on a Sunday too, cannot praise this pub enough for a wonderful...

We spent 4 nights at The George with colleagues for a meeting. The bedrooms were of a great standard, quality beds, nice decor, smart en-suites, and were spotlessly clean. The bar and restaurant seem to be recently renovated and very stylish, the mix of antique and contemporary was spot on. We loved the ambience, the atmosphere at The George was...
