The house was very warm and comfortable and we had two lovely large rooms looking out over the lake and hills. Sharon and Arnie were a great source...

After a very enjoyable few days in the Lakes we would just like to share with you that Sharon and Arnie have now carried out major alterations and have formed a rather delightful 2 bedroomed self catering apartment called Meadowside Cottage which is attached to Lakeside Guest House. This accommodation has been very tastefully transformed into a very comfortable and...

I stayed in room 5 for three days, the room and bathroom were very nice and clean with a TV, fresh towels, biscuits, tea and lots of nice soaps. A very warm welcome from both Sharon and Arnold, who also helped with directions, recommendations for activities/places/ views. The breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. The bus stop is only a...

Superb welcome, fabulous Guest House. Lovely room with views across the countryside, the lake and to the hills. Breakfast was lovely and we had dinner at a local pub, The Pheasant Inn. The food here is excellent. A very warm welcome, especially from the log burning fire! It's a 5 minute walk, but very dark coming back, but no problem...

Happy to have had you staying with us. This peaceful hamlet of Dubwath at Bassenthwaite Lake has become quite a foody place with several excellent eateries within a 10 minute drive. The best within walking distance. See you next time.

This property is quite warn out. The bed was old and hard, shower was broken, room was very small and of poor quality. Breakfast was of minimum quality. It is just not the kind of place I would stay again or recommend.

Hello John and Sherry. We are continually updating and investing in our Guest House which has a 4 star silver and breakfast award. You chose a standard en-suite room which was the economy tariff. They are smaller than the superior rooms with lake views. It has a brand new shower room and the shower was not broken ( do you really...

Very friendly house, with lovely room facilities. Stayed in the family triple room, which was very spacious. Easy and quick access to Keswick by car and in a beautiful setting for walking. The breakfast was amazing particularly for aching muscle mornings.

We stayed here for 2 nights in late August. The owner Sharon was attentive but without fussing. The room was comfortable and very clean. We had an excellent breakfast each morning with a good choice.
