We stopped here in the recommendation of locals for lunch. We were not disappointed- plenty of choice both in terms of food and where to sit. This is a hotel and a pub/restaurant. It is a lovely old fashioned building with lots of character. We had an open sandwich with chips and the chips were excellent - they are home...

We stayed for a few days visiting family nearby. The inn is charming - comfortably room with dog friendly facilities. It's a delight! There are cozy lounges with log fires and attentive staff. The food is very good too!

I’ve stayed here a few times over the years and always enjoying going back. A fabulous old inn with bags of English character and charm. Its full-on country inn chintz with a choice of dining options. The Pheasant has a great cosy old bar with excellent ales and a very a good value wine list, displaying much better value than...

We visit Keswick every Christmas for our Christmas holidays as a family. We found The Pheasant Inn about 5 years ago. We planned to go there when we arrived on 21st December. We hadn't booked but they remembered us from past years and made up a table for us in the restaurant. Being a vegetarian I find it very hard...

Last visited this hotel 18 years ago and a bit apprehensive but I have to say the owners have even improved on the previous standard. A delicious Sunday lunch in the restaurant served by friendly attentive staff.

We are sorry that we were unable to cater for you on this occasion. We did explain that unfortunately we were not serving food yesterday afternoon due to the annual staff Christmas party. There was also a note on the front door explaing this to our customers. Again sorry we dissappointed

We stayed on one of the coldest winter nights and were met with roaring fires in the lounges and were shown to a lovely cosy bedroom at the front of the inn. Furnishings are not slick but good quality traditional "country house" style. The bath room was spotless with nice toiletries and large thick fluffy towels and robes. The homemade...

A great place to stay. Room was lovely, clean, all you could want... big fluffy towels, comfy bed, Egyptian sheets which were so soft. Breakfast excellent. All staff were polite yet genuine and friendly. Quiet lounges for guests which had glorious fires . Lovely and welcoming after walking in the cold. Will be back.

This is 5 minutes from one of my favourite painting locations and the spot where faerie were last seen in the lakes (or the site of a hill fort - make your choice!).
