Why is it that when I have a confirmed booking for a TWIN room, I then get presented with a DOUBLE room? Then to make matters worse, when shown to a 2nd room that was also made up as a DOUBLE. 3rd time lucky - eventually the reception staff found us a twin room which I suspect they saved for...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was ideally placed for a family wedding nearby and for a spot of osprey watching. Our rooms were fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with so many choices. The haddock and poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here before and are Best Western members so took advantage of the newly introduced reduced price scheme for members. The room was very comfortable with a lovely large bathroom with a deep bath, perfect for easing aching muscles after a walk on the fells! We ate both nights in the bar and the food was excellent. Staff...

We haven't stayed in the hotel but used leisure facilities (pool, sauna and steam room) and had afternoon tea which was really nice and tasty. Location and views are amazing. I have to admit that there are different answers to the same question depending on who you ask - receptionist says version A, bar staff version B and they are...

We stayed there just for one night midweek. Plenty of parking outside. Arriving about 7:30pm we were welcomed by the receptionist who was friendly and professional as she checked us in quickly, told us all the useful information and showed us to our room. Our twin room was relatively spacious with all the usual amenities and a great view down...

Where to start? Stayed for one night after a long day, check in OK but room key didn't work so back to reception, didn't need this. Had work to do so before dinner thought I'd catch up on Emails etc. Connected to WiFi but no internet on any of my 3 devices, assumed it was just down for a while....

We stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Castle Inn Hotel for one night. The staff were great, the food in the bar was lovely and we really liked the location. We also used the health suite which was really welcome after a hard day walking up a mountain! We opted for an executive room and requested a four-poster bed in...

Wow where do I begin!!!! Just returned from a 2 night stay and it has to be the worst hotel and service I have ever come across!! Disappointed is an understatement!!! We had booked DBB. On the first night after travelling up from work we were looking forward to our evening meal. Firstly we were seated everything was fine, we...

We stayed over easter weekend the hotel itself was fairly nice but a little dated. Disappointed that there was no spa as advertised...no treatment available just a pool gym sauna and steam room. We had a executive room which was lovely clean and roomy. We ate in the bar and restaurant where the food was adequate...but was expecting more from...

We stayed here for one night and had to say we were most impressed! Our room was lovely, very comfy, warm and clean. We were tired from our walk and decided to eat in the bar. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were really lovely. Great value for money. Peter and Paul from the bar were particularly lovely...
