We stayed at the wonderful Station House motel for a week in August and loved it so much we returned for more in September. Darren and Sylvie are friendly and knowledgable hosts who go that extra mile for their guests (they took us on more than one gorgeous hike!) The rooms are spacious, clean, charmingly decorated and provide a haven...

We just spent two weeks driving around the North of the the South Island. This motel was by far my favourite! The service was friendly & welcoming. The Cottage was comfortable, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The Station House Motel has a special feel to it. We will always remember it. It also turned out to be...

Had a great stay here. Just loved it and if had more time we would have stayed another week. We swam at Collingwood beach at high tide, ate at the Old School House café- delicious food, casual ambience, swam again this time at Pakawau beach, then enjoyed the outdoors at The Station House. Long walks to Milnthorpe Reserve along the...

Not like to larger, impersonal motels, this is a great little find. The owners made me feel very welcome as soon as I arrived. the room was clean, tidy and most importantly comfy. The motel is ideally situated to explore Golden Bay, Farewell Spit and Cove. It is ideally situated in Collingwood , near to all the amenities. A Wonderful...

I popped in for one night and loved it here! If I didn't have to keep moving I would have definitely stayed another night. Very lovely family who operate the motel, lovely clean room with a good heater to defrost, TV and kitchenette. Highly recommend!

This small (four bedroom units) B&B/motel run on family lines for families is so well located, very quiet, only a few steps to one of Golden Bay's iconic beaches. The historic villa has been tastefully converted into a B&B, while retaining much of its character and comfortably sized rooms. Owned and managed by a lovely family who discretely look after...

You are hardly likely to come across Collingwood by accident as it is quite remote, even by New Zealand standards but should you be using this area fror either walking or visiting "Farewell Spit" then I thoroughyl recommend that you stay at this charming, well appointed, Motel overseen by a young couple who will really make you welcome. It is...

This place is great. It has great staff, good wifi, lovely rooms with lots of facilities, good car parking, a few eating places nearby and the scenery is fantastic. It's a bit hard to reach since one has to drive over a pretty spectacular mountain pass to get to it, but once you are there there is a fair amount...
