This place is such a bad option in so many ways that I don’t even where to start. The staff NEVER wear masks at any time! (Besides this one lady, who served us breakfast on the last day) When we arrived, the first thing we heard was: how do you intend to pay (we had already 50% in advance)? very rude housekeeping lady! Didn’t respond to good mornings and served us breakfast with NO MASK. There was another staff person, Messias, very nice and helpful but didn’t wear mask either. And, to be done with the staff, there was another guy who showed up at night, laid on the sofa and watch videos really loud and didn’t wear mask. The room had a mini fridge that smelled super bad, the air conditioner wasn´t strong enough to keep the whole room cool (they gave me a fan so my kids didn’t fry) and the wi-fi was almost inexistent. The bathroom was so small we had to sit on the toilet sideways, the shower space had a half wall + the sink was leaking = constant wet bathroom floor. Oh, and we had water issues twice. There was a pool that seemed clean on the last day, so no pool for the kids. It was like the place was abandoned! (originally written in English)

My husband, my baby daughter and I have been passed 6 days in this place. First of all, the two owners (a man and a woman) treat you if you are at a hostel: they are slow, the team is not prepared to serve you, the buffet breakfast is always missing something that you will notice and order and they will look at you if they are doing you a big favor (how horrible is this on summer holidays?!). A foreign guest had to pick up the plates inside the kitchen, because she was waiting too long to be served. The male owner, instead, saw the standing and asking lady and he continue to tap his cell phone as a macho. He didn't move to do it differently. Second, the structure is awful. Bathroom is too small, a shared area with a lot of old furnitures and no use for pleasure. Last but no least, on the last day, an old lady complained that her wallet was stollen and she was really mad about it. I lend her my cell phone to cancel her credit cards, because at the place they don't lend the phone even if they are facing a police case. A lot of unpolite notes are written everywhere. Icarai de Amontada, this beach so well known by the wind and kite surf and with a perfect calm sea for babies and parents can offer you this horrible place. Don't make this mistake I couldn't avoid myself.
