Our tour company had wanted to book us into the Rainforest Eco Lodge, but we weren't convinced by the reviews and so selected this hotel instead. We were made to feel so welcome and at home as soon as we arrived. We were shown to our room, which was nice and spacious, with 2 beds each having a mosquito net...

The Hotel is well located for a visit at Sinharjah Rainforest. The Rooms are clean there. We had a really bad experience with host. First the lady wanted to show us to different rooms without telling us any price. After asking again, she told us that the price is different. At last she didn't take any initiative to tell us that...

We stood at the rain forest lodge for two nights and our experience was very positive. The rooms were clean and kept well, the staff was very friendly and the location is good to go for hikes in the rain forest (you need to go by Tuktuk, takes about 30 min). The first night we got there a little late...

We stayed there one night in order to take a trip into the rain forest. The rooms are very basic and the beds and pillows very hard and uncomfortable and we did not get much sleep. The bed linen had seen better days and did not seem clean so we slept on top of the bed. The owner had organised...

What a place! This has been my favourite place I've stayed in Sri Lanka thus far. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The food was out of this world. Best rice and curry in Sri Lanka! The hostess was super friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome; giving us fruits from the nearby rose...

Though not situated in the actual Sinharaja rainforest, this lodge has all the style and feel of being an actual rainforest lodge. Set about 5 kilometres from the rainforest entrance (20-30 mins by Tuk Tuk down narrow winding roads). We spent 3 nights here and used it as an ideal base for our rainforest trekking excursions. The rooms are nice...

Not easy to find after a long drive in narrow, bumpy mountain roads. But really a pleasant reward to stay at this small hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. We liked this place very much! Nice local food, homely and welcoming atmosphere. Very fine view over the landscape. We got the top floor room with large balcony and...

After making a 5 hour tuk-tuk journey into Denniyaya, we were absolutely exhausted!! Looking around town everything was closed except for this place, HALLELUJAH! The host was very welcoming, cooking us dinner at 10pm, and booking us a rainforest tour for the next morning. He even ran into town to get us cigarets! What a champ!! It was a little...

Rainforest Lodge is like a second home to us in Sri Lanka, the staff were super nice and caring to begin with, and the location is set literally few steps away from the tea plantation. Our favourite hangout spot was up in the meditation hut right on top of the mountain with a breathtaking view overlooking sinharaja and rows of...

The Rainforest Lodge is not to be confused with the rainforest ECO lodge, which is about 12km further up the mountain which is not a journey I ever want to do again and is about 10x the price. The rainforest lodge is in the town of Deniyaya but is quite tricky to find, especially in the dark. However, the host...
